GaryT
What are the proportions? I have quite a bit of the deLuxe. What does it do right for you?Roughly 50/50. Combined it has a creamier mouthfeel and adds a nice sweetness to the rye-bite of the OGD 114, without being too sweet. I'd had luck mingle dusty BDL with some other high proof items (like CEHT barrel proof - I wound up making a bottle of that mingle that I really like). The BDL neat is a nice whiskey, and it seems to stretch that taste I associate with dusty ND.
Paul W
Yeah I also think ND BDL is good. Not as good as ND OGD or OT but similar. I also have enough that I might try a blend to drive up the proof and add more bite.
JDSmith619
Did a little side by side of 7yr Bernheim wheat vs PHC8... Was pleasantly surprised by both. The 7yr will definitely be standard around my place, it's silky smooth and sweet. Enjoyed the PHC8 but wanna let it rest before revisiting. Tony Santana
Just a small pour of EC21 last night. I think I like this more every time I try it. More oak than I usually prefer, but for some reason it works. Starting to lean towards paying too much for the EC23 now. Although I guess if I'm willing to pay it, it's not too much. garbanzobean
I should be picking up a bottle of this today. Can't wait to try it.I got a bottle for a friend, so he shared a couple pours with me. It's great bourbon. I think I like the 2013 better because it was a bit unusual, but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

It was even gone at the local whisky bar that gets everything within a week. In what way did you see it unusual??

TheEgg
I have been a pretty faithful EWB drinker, but have started in with Buffalo Trace. More expensive, but I have almost decided that it is worth it!now, if I could find a reliable source of Four Roses SingleB around here, well then......... flahute
Finally! Some MMCS that I picked up today locally. I like this better than Weller 107 so I'm thrilled to have it.Now moving onto '14 OFBB. First pour so I know it will change, but right out of the gate, I'm liking it a lot. Different from last year for sure, which I really loved, but a sweet entry and a dry finish that so far stands on its own nicely. Has that odd nose like last year. By chance, I finished a bottle of OFS just last night, and while I see the family resemblance, BB is so much better to me. Very happy to have this one again. MauiSon
Third pour of a KCSB - Wow, the first 2 pours (weeks ago) were just hot, dry and woody, while now it's become sweet caramel and spicy, what happened to the woody finish? Gone. I'm coming around on this one.
