Working from home today. And by that, I mean that I finished the report I was writing for work last night, so I'm catching up on tv and having a gentleman's morning. And by gentleman's morning, I mean drinking bourbon. And by bourbon, I mean HHSS#2.

Funny, I was drinking HHSS 2 last evening as well, and then moved on to PHC Wheat. Two outstanding HH products. The PHC Wheat is opening up nicely with some air time, and is one darn fine whiskey IMHO.

Yet another long week at work. After dinner, I had a poor of a PS ETL. As a nightcap, I'm settling in with a pour of a PS OWA. The week don't seem so bad now.

Do you have some cliff's notes tasting notes? Is it super oaky? I ask because I know where I can get some and am trying to get an idea of what to expect before deciding if I should pursue it.

It's a wheat sort of evening. Started with MMCS. Had my first pour of PH8 Wheat Whiskey. A different kind of pour, but lovely. Am preparing to finish the night with HHSS#2 which is to die for.

I am fortunate to have such fine whiskies in my cabinet.

I'm thinking it's time to clear up some space on my bar by spending the weekend drinking SB blend. It's been a year or more now since I've seen W12 on the shelf and none of my dealers are able to get a bottle much less a case. Shoot even the Reserve has disappeared. Plenty of OWA to go around though.

Last night it was OFBB and HH6BIB for me. The OFBB was good but the HH6BIB was even better to my taste. I know that runs against the grain but I was really digging the HH6BIB. No consideration of price or value either. Impressed.

My first rodeo with Kirkland's today at a tailgate. Not bad at all. Was told it is a Beam, likely about 7 year old. I guess baby Knob? Followed that with a flask full of the SB blend.

In celebration of finding Promise of Hope for a good price, I'm having a big healthy pour off of my currently open bottle. Though not loved by all, this is one of my favorites pours.
