Looks like it would be a great vatting candidate for something too youngish?

Hmmmmm, now there's a thought. I'll definitely consider that. A third of this with 2/3 of almost any 6-yr-or-less Bourbon... or even rye, might be pretty interesting. Thanx for that idea, BT. I'll let you know....

I had a bit of a chat about contractors and Kitchen Renovation Hell with the spirit of Elmer T. Lee last night.

(Mrs. K doesn't drink whiskey at all, only a glass of wine or the occasional foofy 'tini drink. No worries about my supply!)

So, is there anything better (i.e., more seasonally appropriate) than WT AS for Thursday? (That question is not just rhetorical.)

Thanksgiving luncheon at work today. Debating what to drink. Closest I have to Turkey on hand is RR rye. Maybe EC12.

That's one heck of a way to overshadow the blend.

What year PVW15?

The blend actually stood up "pretty well", said the few that had not had the pleasure previously. The Pappy 15 was from the '13 release.

I also failed to omit a small pour of ETL from my evening. I sure wouldn't normally have had that kind of flight on a Monday, but a guy doesn't turn 50 years of age any old day, so we made a pretty good night of it!

Tried the Virgin 101 but just couldn't take it. Was hoping for something more like OE101 but it wasn't even close.

Moved on the JRVOVSmB

I got home from work today and poured myself some Larceny. Then I had to chuckle. :skep:

We've been extremely busy at work the whole year, but today I really didn't do a thing. The HVAC company that we contract to do all the work on our heating and air conditioning units sent a guy out today to do routinely scheduled preventative maintenance on all of our heating units, and the air curtains we have over our overhead doors. I was the only employee available that knew how to operate the equipment we needed to get the job done. So, I spent all day sitting on my butt in a turret truck, 20-30 feet in the air, with the HVAC guy in a cage attached to the forks. Larceny seems appropriate.

Cheers! Joe

had a good, but busy, day at work today....then came home and had some WTRB112, followed by some WFE 8 year. WTRB won, big time....

Tonight, it's Virginia Gentleman for the gentleman who is now in Virginia. I know, I know, but the OGD114 is unopened here, and, well... when in VA..

Had a couple of Old Fashioneds...now trying to finish a bottle of Old Medley 12 yr. Seen better, had worse. Bought it on a whim and it is just ok.

Many of us feel the same about the OM 12yr.

Last night I laid it on pretty thick with the HH6BiB. That stuff is just plain tasty. What should be "sip sip savor savor" too easily turns into "glug glug glug".

Not complaining either.

Finished my Blanton's last night during Craig Ferguson's show; tonight, it's basic BT. Felt like candy apple.

Finishing a bottle of Rock Hill Farms. Wish they'd give me a $15 credit on the bottle so I would buy another at $50.
