Putting a serious dent in the Taylor SmB and Larceny. Like others, I gotta do what I gotta do to clear some shelf space up around here!

What is your car project? I have two 64 Buick wildcats. One is for parts but it is sometimes hard to say which one.

...have two 64 Buick wildcats...
those are fun cars! used to race backroads in 66 Malibu against guy with 64 wildcat. fun days. throw a coronet and fury in the mix and ya know where this goes. fortunately blue lights were red back then and they didn't care.

after drama on drama today, thought my Bowman double barrel comparison to Beam small cask was stress reliever but dreaming of flying gravels makes it better.

Finished off my EWSB2002 with a hefty pour. Still remains one of the best bourbon values out there.

Uncorked the Basil Hayden tonight. I don't enjoy this bourbon but I'm trying to power through the last third of the bottle. [emoji123]

Long, tough day at work. Trying to make my world a little better with a OGDBIB/EWBIB blend based old fashioned. After searching through fancy tasting terms I have decided to call this "damned good."

OE101, not really doing it for me tonight. Funny how something can grab you one night and then be indifferent to it the next.

That sounds like a great concoction--blending OGD EW BiBs.

For me, a couple of pours of BT

Did a casual side-by-side showdown between last year's HHSS and this year's (both are SB.com picks). Both very nice pours, as I'm sure most would agree.

I found so little difference between 'em, I may just put 'em together in the bunker.

Then again, I may re-visit, since my palate is so variable.

If I again find such a very slight 'sour oaky' hint on the nose of '14, and the very slightly 'longer/mellower' finish on the '14, I may not. I shall see about that in a future test.

Suddenly your sb.com handle makes sense.

Is that a Galaxy 500? Very nice. I have always thought those are one of the best looking Fords ever made.

Yep, 4500 pounds of backroad fun.

Have you ever seen this 1964 TV ad for the Wildcat?

And yet some people rush to judgment based on a single pour before they "pour it down the drain." I used to think it took at least half a bottle before I could come to a definitive conclusion. Am now inclined to think it takes at least half a case. All in the interest of double-blind scientific precision and accounting for variables such as temperature, barometric pressure, and pollen count of course.

It's budget time of year at work. Nice fat pour of 50/50 vatting of BT and Stagg Jr. Batch 1 to end the day and get ready for Royals win tonight. That's better!

Drinking a pour of a newly opened CEHTBP, the newest batch at 129 proof. Drinks quite smooth for 129 proof. Good stuff, and it should get better with some airtime.

I'm a big fan of the 2014 CEHTBP. I think it is fantastic.

At the moment i'm drinking a HWMWD Act 2.4 It is a bit overly sweet for my tastes. Personally i think it was overhyped and overpriced. I prefer plain old Rendezvous Rye to this.

Big pour of '14 GTS while my Royals are looking good. Great pour, looking forward to a little breathing time!
