TunnelTiger
I've always have passed on the Belle Meade jut because I can't recall it being mentioned here but now that have gone and done I guess next week a bottle will need to come home with me. The one I am talking about is the recent 9yo release finished in sherry. I first tried it in early December and really enjoyed it.The Sherry finish is a good bit less common but a new batch seemed to hit Atlanta in the past week. Whether it is the same as before I can't say.
kjbeggs
I quite enjoyed the Sherry Finished Belle Meade as well. The standard bottle is OK, but nothing special. The SF makes quite a nice sipper though. Think I paid about $70 for it a couple months ago.
chooch714
Just picked up a handle of WLW12. Have an open one but the Wellers as well as all BT products have been hard to come by in my AO. It was the only one on the shelf. They had a few 750s of BT but at $26, it doesn't work for me in the small size.
kjbeggs
I saw an online retailer yesterday that was offering 750's of Weller12 for $199.00Has it really come to this?(I was fortunate to find three 1 liters earlier this week for $30 each). GaryT
I passed on a ri 1 sitting on the 50% off listed price shelf at a store today because I knew nothing about it. (marked price was $44)I may have to go back & get it.I picked one of those up a few months back, marked on sale for $19.99 (from $40). I hadn't tried it before, but I wouldn't buy another bottle for $10. A very uninteresting whiskey IMHO.
LakeJ
I passed on a bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10 yr for $179. I got the same bottle last year at the same place for $125.
bearmark
Passed on Angel's Envy Cask Strength 2014 at $160. I've tasted it and wasn't too impressed… somewhat thin and spicy compared to last years full bodied offering that I almost wish I had grabbed at $140. I've tasted it and wasn't too impressed… somewhat thin and spicy compared to last years full bodied offering that I almost wish I had grabbed at $140.I really liked the 2013 as well (although some didn't) and wish I had found another. Haven't tried the 2014 yet but hope to remedy that this week. Planning on a 2012/2013/2014 side by side blind tasting!

nd2005
thanks man. That's what I was thinking.I am a big fan of the stuff, but that is a tad overpriced. However I am weak, so I would probably have caved. It's $99 retail in my neck of the woods.

jp_stargazer
Saw these Willett 6 and 8 year ryes, maybe 6 bottles of each. This picture is from 2 weeks ago, yesterday they were all gone. I have a feeling since they sat a while and then disappeared, one person may have bought all of them. Jason
