KyleCBreese
Received an email today from my local whiskey manager and answered 45 minutes later, but was too late. ORVW10 for $53, and ECBP for $50 were the two that I were hoping for. There was Forged Oak available when I called for $70, but I will pass on that one for now. mbroo5880i
I have wanted to pick up some ECBP and I finally saw it in a store today but it was pretty easy for me to pass on at $99.99.It is always disappointing to finally locate a bottle you want only to find it overpriced. Ravensfire
Also saw ECBP at 99 and at my usual store. They are usually decent on most prices but the rare stuff they are starting to get high. Picked it up at a competitor a week or two earlier for 55. Was disappointed to see the high price.
ccleve23
Passed on GTS and WLW for 199 and Saz 18 for 299. They used to be a lot higher. Maybe soon the prices will drop enough to make a purchase.

jackthedog
Passed on ETL for $69, Stagg Jr for $149, and EHTBP for $199. Though they almost got me with the ER10 for $69.

Total ripoff, but worth the one time screwjob to me.

Probably would have picked one up but which one is the question.I would, too. I'll include the Saz 18, as well. Yes, those are inflated prices for retail, but those whiskies are so severely underpriced at MSRP it's not even funny, IMO. Those numbers are in the hittable range for most enthusiasts who want to try 3 whiskies that can sit at, and dominate, any table of any whiskies in the world, in any price range. I think the owner of the store you are talking about probably has a dragons hoard of those bottles and is going to keep adjusting the price up and down as they sell. She probably is running out of room in her basement bunker. Word from a former sales rep is that as of several years ago, she does about 70% of TWs numbers out of that place, believe it or not. I bet she gets a lot of LEs.

The Black Tot
It is at least refreshing if nothing else to read about a retailer LOWERING the price on a BTAC bottle, even if it is only to standard gouge.

Travis D
passed on 2 bottles we seem to have a glut of in the area. I'm guessing these are at MSRP? If so, figures they are still laying around.Lock stock and barrell 13 yr rye at 108.99James E Pepper 15 yr rye at 128ish.

Both seem to have hung around on the shelf for awhile. State to State comparisons are tough because the laws and hidden liquor taxes can be so different. fishnbowljoe
What is JPS? Those are some high prices either way.Jefferson's Presidential Select. A NDP distillate, pretty much of unknown or at the very least, questionable origin.
MTNBourbon
Cool, thanks. I've had a couple of Jefferson's, I enjoyed Jefferson's Reserve Very Old Very Small Batch the most.
garbanzobean
Forged Oak @ $80. My pal at the liquor store let me know he had a couple in stock, but then said "But the people at Diageo are kind of douchebags, so I'm not really too interested in selling these . . . " Thought that was pretty funny. Had intended to pass anyway. Maybe at $40-$50.
