WTRB less common?

Wondering if yall are seeing this as well. I'm going to chalk it up to logistics from the label/"batch"/proof changeover, but it definitely seems like RB is on the shelf a lot less often than it used to be.

I've mentioned it to a couple of clerks and they've indicated its on their list to always have on hand but just hasn't been coming in from their distributors as often. It's not exactly hard to find, and not something I hunt down since I know WT is making plenty of it and it'll eventually be around, but it's a little interesting none the less.

Part of me wonders if they pulled back on that to push purchases of the lackluster and seemingly slow moving Forgiven as their upper shelf offering.

EDIT: Wrong forum, meant for this to be in general not premium. Moderators, help a careless man out?

There is plenty of RB around here--but it's all the old batch. But this is Ohio and I would not expect anything less. Or more.

I'm all for changing the Ohio system, but how is the absence of the new batch a state distribution problem? I don't know of any retailers who would put the new stuff out if the old stuff hasn't sold yet.

Encourage your neighbors to buy the old batch so that they have a reason to restock. :)

If merchants had their druhthers, some of them might stock the new stuff to satisfy discerning customers--and still keep the old stuff for those who might actually prefer it. You can still buy an iPhone 4 or 5 if you don't want 6 or 6+ yet. An Apple store would go out of business if it refused to sell 6 until all the 5s were gone.

I understand what youre saying, but Apple and their carriers are selling the latest iPhones as new and improved with added size and features with the others offered to the budget minded. WT isn't saying that the new batch is anything but different than that last (via the label change).

Plenty in North Georgia and has been the 112 for a couple months now. Since the Tradition sold and the Daimond is selling I would assume there are a bunch of turkey lovers here.

It's the exact opposite here in Northern California as I've started to see more WTRB, especially the 112 proof.

PA dropped it with the proof change. I was told that Wild Turkey is moving away from the Rare Breed towards the Russell's Reserve products. I've tried two different bottles of the new RB and I'm now not sad to see it leave PA. Fiery, thin, and flavorless are great words to describe it. Went from being my favorite bourbon to off my shelf.

WT RB is surprisingly present in numbers in the few decent bottle shops here in Beijing. Even more common than 8yo or 101.

Canton, Ohio has the new 112, I was looking to grab some old. Oh well, scored a few other things instead.

A lot of stores around Indy have RB. I still haven't seen the new 112 proof yet.

I've been seeing more and more of the 112. The 108's finally starting to disappear around here, I think. I haven't seen any empty spots where RB should be, though.

Any Chicago (or burbs) folks seeing RB 112 on shelves yet? I've yet to find any just outside the city.

I found a bottle of the new RB in NW Indiana. Not worth it. Lacks flavor and is hot. Sad as I really enjoyed the 03 and 99.
