Question about age of grain whisky in Scotch blends

It is not clear to me about the age of the grain whiskies in AS Scotch Blends (ala 12YO JW Black). Are all the different alcohol components (the malts and NGS) in the drink aged as least the AS? Or merely the malts?

All elements receive the minimum age stated on the label.

If the bottle carries an age statement then everything in the bottle must adhere to that age statement.

Scottish law (Canadian law also) requires the new distillate be aged a minimum of three years before it can legally be called whisky so NAS can be anywhere from three on up. For an age stated label though every drop of whisky in the bottle must be at least as old as the statement.
