5cents
Hey guys, was looking at some old videos from 96 of the fire on youtube. For the life of me I can't place where the distillery was in relation to the visitors center. Can anyone help me out with this? Kris
clingman71
Was just there and looked at a pic in the BHC. It looked to be across the street and down a bit, towards Willett. In other words, instead of heading straight and BHC on right, you take the Y to the left and it would have been on the left. But, I was never there when it was there, this is all based on what o saw in the pic.

5cents
So basically at the bottom of the hill and across the street? It was hard to tell on the video as it was from a helicopter and it was hard to see the Y in the road. For some reason, I have been to the heritage center 3 times now but never take the time to take the tour which I am sure they would have told me where it was. Richnimrod
Great visual, Cam! I had known in general terms where it was located; but this is the perfect way to understand instantly the spatial relationship of all of the near environment at the HH site.Way to go Bourbonian of the Year! :pope: No mystery, how you earned the title. camduncan
I think my answer had more to do with my career in IT than BOTY - using Google maps seemed logical .... but I'm happy to take the kudos regardless :slappin:..... and I'm glad the map helped
p_elliott
Cam's picture hits its right on the nose. But if you want a visual when you're pulling out of the VS and look to your right and see two smoke stacks that is where the distillery was at. camduncan
I've got some pictures I took in 2008 of the distillery remains as they were then. A bit different to what it looked like when I was there earlier in the year for the Sampler. I forgot to get photos this time round, but I can dig out the '08 ones if anyone is interested?
