Jazz Nut
If you want to try HH BIB, but can't find it, I'd suggest doing a 1:1 blend of Evan Williams BIB and EC12. For me the HH BIB had the oakiness and subtle power of EC12 but without the rounded edges and longer finish, adding the EWBIB adds to the mouthfeel and finish. Just my two cents.I have a few bottles of HH BIB and HH Very Old 8 (not sure of the acronym...:searching:), and they are good, but not great, and don't feel bummed out if you can't find them. Plenty of other fine substitutes out there.
ramblinman
I never could find any of this stuff anyway, so I guess I no longer have to feel like I'm missing out.:grin:1) they're not going away, it was a rumor and as usual doesn't seem to have occured.2) you're not really missing out. They're a great everyday table bourbon and a great value at that, but they're nothing "special". Its a staple product, done right and priced accordingly, pick up a bottle if you see it, but getting an evan white label is going to show you most of what you're getting. Imagine it a bit sweeter and you're in HH BiB territory.
alstevens
I REALLY like EWBIB. Is there any place online I could order HHBIB 6 year white label? I seem to just keep coming up with the 80 proof on sites that will ship.
BourbonJoe
I bought 7 bottles of Green Label 6 y/o BiB in Bardstown during the sampler. It was only around 10 bucks. What a deal.
