weller_tex
I picked up a bottle of Booker's as a Valentine present from my wife, and after I got home I noticed it was Batch 2014-06. I looked that up and discovered it was one of the Booker's that Chuck Cowdery et. al. was involved with. Those fellas did a bang up job. I really like Booker's in general, but what I like most about this batch is that it has this deep char note on the finish. It is the most complex Booker's I have had. I would seek this out if you can.
kjbeggs
Good to hear, I've seen a few of this batch around lately and pondered picking one up.Sounds like maybe I should.
Pudsky
I just picked up one of these today. It was on sale, 39.99. I'm not usually a big fan of Bookers, but the price was decent so I'm going to give it a try.

flahute
You buy the presents your wife gives you?I can't tell whether that's a good deal, or bad.
Cardo
Picked it up today. Batch 2014-6. Have not re-visited it for several years, I found it tooalcoholic for my taste last time. But will try again. But---maybe that was the taste Booker Noewas shooting for. Still have water if I need it.

Pudsky
I did have a straight pour of this last night. I liked it more than I have in the past. Tonight I'll have some more, with a little water. Probably will open it up a little, but I really like how hot and spicy it is.
cowdery
The first time I drank Booker's with Booker, at his kitchen table, he added water. I didn't. He was right.
whiskeyscope
Got a bottle of this (just the batch they had). Honestly, I can't tell the difference between other batches. I think my last one was 2013-something. I drink Booker's with ice. It's the only way I can enjoy it. They evolve into something vanilla/caramel tasting to me. So maybe that has something to do with it.

flahute
^^^^^This. The man who created it is demonstrating the best way to drink it. Doesn't get better than that.
Flyfish
The first time I drank Booker's with Booker, at his kitchen table, he added water. I didn't. He was right. How much water did he add? I take a couple sips of my Booker's neat then add just a couple drops of water. This is not to reduce the proof but to help it open up. Wonderfully rich and creamy!
