fozzy71
Added another 1792 private pick to the bunker, and decided that as long as they have cases of it, I'll try to snag one every couple of weeks until they run out, or I run out of room (a real possibility!) I almost went with a 1792 last week, and considered it again today but I was already dropping $90+ on these two beauties: I have never tried the SB, and only had the SmB once many months ago so a side by side should be interesting. GaryT
$90?!?! Dayum - my sympathies to you Michiganders On the bright side - both are pretty solid pours! fozzy71
Yep, just looking at state min price list now and it looks like they charged me more than min on the single barrel. I should have checked on my smart phone before purchase, oops. After tax it was $96, should have been $89. This is why I want to make a trip down south with a trunk full of empty whiskey cardboard cases. Edited June 11, 2015 by fozzy71
amg
Ouch. In Indy that pair can be had for $65 plus tax if you shop around.

I have a friend in Hammond so I am planning to make a trip down at the end of summer or early fall when the bunker size gets a bit smaller so I can stock up for winter. Jazz Nut
Picked up a bottle of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof 128 proof, and 2 bottles of Henry McKenna BIB, at a local liquor store that was having a bourbon tasting. The Henry McKenna was only $22! They are having a sale until the end of the month.

ThirstyinOhio
Grabbed 2 bottles of Rhetoric 21yr. Looking forward to doing a side by side with the 20yr this weekend, but I don't really expect to notice much difference.
DonutsNBourbon
ugh, I said I wouldn't buy anymore bottles for at least a month (lasted 6 days) and then I go walking into a Binny's. RR1792 single barrel select for $30 and OC8 for $15... I couldn't resist.

My problem is I go in there to pick up a 6 pack of beer, and then the next thing you know...

miller542
The new Bourye for $41.99. That is state minimum from what I see.Considering the new Bourye is $80+tax in High West's home state of Utah, $42 is a steal. I'd be buying multiple bottles of this at anything under $50. They priced it the same as son of bourye, and less than rendezvous rye. MSRP for bourye everywhere else is $75-80 as pointed out by miller542. As did I last evening after work. Love this 15% off sale, but I could only carry so much stuff with me. I picked up two bottles of the Old Scout BP Rye, reluctantly passed up the Old Scout BP Bourbon, but did pick up another liter of Larceny, and two bottles of Astor's cask of Russell's Reserve SmBSB. Amhazed
Wasn't today but yesterday I bought ....Blood Oath Makers Mark Cask strength Knob Creek mapleThe Blood Oath I already have a bottle of. Just bought another ras a collector since from what I read there's only gonna be 3 Pacts. The Makers I've been wanting to get for awhile and finally did. Knob Creek is quickly becoming one if my favorites brands. I have the 120 proof and the Rye so I figured might as well keep going.
