mountaineervol
Picked up an EH Taylor Cured Oak as well as an 8 year Old Scout Rye Single Barrel Cask Strength and Old Scout 10 Year. Very happy with the purchases.
BonVivant84
Someone made a visit to Astor... As did I last evening after work. Love this 15% off sale, but I could only carry so much stuff with me. I picked up two bottles of the Old Scout BP Rye, reluctantly passed up the Old Scout BP Bourbon, but did pick up another liter of Larceny, and two bottles of Astor's cask of Russell's Reserve SmBSB. TLDR - I got busted Yes I did .....Figure I would update with the funny part of this that just happened. I bought all the stuff except the EC12 yesterday and brought them home, while my fiance was traveling (I usually just have them delivered to the office.) This morning i placed the order for the case of EC12. After I placed the order I called and asked if by any chance they had a case from before the label change with the 12 in the front and they said they would get back to me. Later i got a message saying they had found one (last they had) and would send it...Awesome, but they don't ask for me to call them back so I don't. Just got a text from my lady..... "So Astor just called me".... I guess her cell had been on a previous order and they reached out to her. Not that I hide stuff, but I could get some side eye buying 19 bottles over 2 days .....Lucky she's cool with it and finds it funnier that I got caught Edited June 12, 2015 by BonVivant84

Paddy
I've been tempted by passed on 04, 05 and 06 EWSB this week. Today, I was offered up OWA (hidden behind the counter) for a shockingly low 17 and change. I have all of the above, but it was a tough pass nonetheless...Edit: Since I already posted the above in the wrong thread...:skep: I may as well tell you what I purchased today. JB BIB x 2, 1792 and a $15 off msrp Rowan's Creek (for an upcoming SBS with Noah's Mill).Carry on... Edited June 13, 2015 by Paddy

DeluxeReverb
Heaven Hill at $14.95 for 1 liter. Sazerac Rye for $34.99.Found a small-town liquor store with an amazing selection, better bourbon and scotch choices than any place I've been in Nashville. A couple different Orphan Barrels, lots of Canadians. HH 100, HH 90. Edited June 14, 2015 by DeluxeReverb

mbroo5880i
I get this look a lot. Luckily (so far) I don't get in trouble, I just get scrutinized a bit.You guys have more b....s than I do. My wife is pretty accepting of my buying things that are special, difficult to find, being phased out (she told me I need to pick up more SAOS Rye). However, I don't think I could get by with buying more than 2 or 3 bottles or 5 at a time. 19, no way!

chooch714
Grabbed a handle of OC yesterday. It has been really hot here the last few days and something lighter was in order. This stuff has a very satisfying flavor to me and hits the spot with a splash of ginger beer as hot day refresher. fishnbowljoe
As I mentioned in the "Dusty Finds" thread, my wife and I took a drive today. We stopped at a few places. My main intent was to grab a backup bottle of ER10, which I did. I also bought yet another bottle of BT just because of the decent price. The surprise of my trip was finding a place that had Wyoming Whiskey! I debated a bit, but grabbed a bottle. I tasted some from batches #1 and #2, and they weren't that good. I had a bottle from batch #3 that was decent. They're on batch #26 now. I figured I'd take a chance.:skep: It might be interesting, besides, I like their distillery. My wife and I visited there three years ago. Cheers! Joe

fozzy71
Stopped in a new store today that was recommended by a member. Nice selection overall and proper state min prices. He had a store pick Angels Envy I passed on but he told me he would have a store pick BT and 1792 in a week or two that I will definitely be going back for. I decided to grab something new and something for the bunker: Bernheim Wheat and 4RSB.
