hey guys,

After a brutal busy season which has finally ended, I am taking the family to Turks and Caicos end of this month for a much needed vacation.

As for Bourbons, curious to hear from others what Bourbons to look out for which aren't available in the states. I know the usual suspect is Blanton's straight from the barrel, Blanton's Gold, etc...I even saw a post from another member who picked up WT13 from Turks.

Also, with regards to Duty Free (please forgive me as I don't travel), we are leaving from JFK, I'd rather not have to carry stuff that I purchase from the JFK duty free shop the entire trip. So can I access duty fee at JFK on our return flight? Is there a duty free at Provo airport?

Thanks in advance.

It's been so long that I don't remember the brands they have. It does look like Provo airport has a decent (but fairly small) duty free shopping area.

Many thanks kenny. I must have missed that page when i browsed prior to posting.

The last sentence caught my eye, "They also offer fine Cuban and Dominican Cigars."

I'd be scouting rum if I traveled to a Caribbean island, not bourbon. There's even an exclusive Turks and Caicos Islands' rum called Bambarra. It's not distilled there though. The local shops probably offer several unique rums that would be hard to find stateside.

Or you could buy bourbon.

Thanks Toe. Although not a rum drinker, will most likely pick up a bottle. Will keep Bambarra in mind.

Blanton's Straight from the Barrel (barrel proof Blanton's) can sometimes be found in de islands, mon! But it is not found in the US.
