I hadn't seen this posted and thought it was a fun read. The guys at ModernThirst (I believe he still posts here?) posed this question on their site to a few writers. I thought it a fun read and worth a share for anybody who hasn't seen it yet.

What say you?

4RSmB ($27)

I think I would be tempted to just get 3 ETLs and call it a day. And a really good night.

I would go with (provided they were available on the shelf):

FC103 (13)

OWA (20)

Rittenhouse Rye (22)

ECBP (45)

SAOS BP Rye - ~42

OGD 114 - 28

Family size EWBiB - 22

Bitters - rest

I would probably go with:

FRSB - 37

BT or EC12 - 23 (Maybe OWA once I get a chance to try it)

KCSB - 40

But with all of the OGD114 recommendations, I should probably give it a shot already.

I resisted for a long time because my college roommate would drink it and had classified it as a "college" whiskey until I started frequenting these parts. You'll won't regret it!

Four Roses Single Barrel

Henry McKenna 10 Single Barrel BIB

Bernheim Straight Wheat Whiskey

If there's enough left over, Rittenhouse BIB. If not, meh.

Hmmm, not really knowing the current prices (I rarely pay much attention.. too rich, I guess), I'll have to approximate.

Henry McK 10-yr SB--$33

EC 12--$28

KC 120--$40

I think I went over by a buck... sue me!

If I knew this would have to hold me over for a while, I'd go for the most bang for the buck!

HH6 BIB x 3, VOB6 BIB x 3, OGD BIB x 3.

Cruising this forum on my phone using tapatalk ... It's going to take a while for me to recognize all of the acronyms. I did see a list posted when I was reading from my laptop, so I no one does exist.

Please bear with me...

FRSB - $35

Woodford Reserve - $28

Angel's Envy - $38

EC12

OGDBIB or 114

BT

W12 if I could find it at MSRP (never seen it in the wild but had a guy on another forum offer me one for $50 lol) but since I can't find it I would say OWA

I would much rather drink less volume and higher quality. Hence for $100:

Four Roses Single Barrel 100 pr $42

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof $50

Big House (20)

......

I have seen this on the shelf a few times but hadn't tried it yet since I hadn't seen it mentioned here. It looks like they are up front about being a NDP bourbon and the review I just read was positive so I might have to give it a shot one of these days.

I need variety in my life, so:

Ritt BIB - $19 (gotta have some rye, best one for the money IMHO)

FRSB - $30 (sale price I've bought at in the past year, because I have to have SOME Four Roses!)

AAA 10* Handle - $25 (price to quality to volume is insane here)

Shieldaig Highland Single Malt - $18 (bringing some peat into the picture)

Maker's Mark 50mL - $4 (can't go wheater free; and I can't get OWA in a small enough size locally!)

WTRB 50mL - $4 (At least a little high proof Turkey completes the picture)

Tried to shoehorn in Ritt but couldn't. Also, didn't think about loading up on 50mls. Boy does THAT open up possibilities.
