I am confused as to how the batches have been identified. Is it determined from the printing on the side of the bottles, or is it by the Proof %?

By the proofs. First one was 134.4, second one was 128.7, and the third one is whatever isn't those two (since I can't remember and don't have one...)

Edit to add I wish ECBP and Stagg Jr would follow MMCS's nomenclature. Especially with ECBP being up to 7 batches now (at least?), it's only a matter of time before they start duping proofs.

Thanks guys, that is a big help!

I have the 3rd batch then, as it is 132.1 Proof.

Is there much talk out there, on the Batch 3, as compared to Batches 1 & 2?
