I know that the old Michter's operation in Schaefferstown, PA distilled Wild Turkey rye for a period around the 1980s. I'm trying to get my hands on, or at least see a picture of, the old green label rye that says "distilled in Pennsylvania" on the label. I know, they are rare. At the very least, some info on those particular bottlings would make me happy.

Here's a pic of an even older bottle. It may be what you are looking far.

This may be a European release...

From what I understand, in the 1980s Michter's old PA distillery used to distill and bottle Wild Turkey rye. It looks like these green label bottle y'all posted but says "distilled in Pennsylvania" on the label (instead of Kentucky).

Anyone got one or ever seen one?

This is the rye label from 20 years ago. Deep, dark green (Hunter green, maybe?) with red lettering. I miss seeing it on the shelves. It really, really stood out. (I think in a way the WT Rye label started the trend toward using green. None of the other rye labels at the time were green; Beam was canary yellow, Overholt was beige, Van Winkle was tan, Rittenhouse was dark brown (for bonded, anyway), and Pikesville was white. I never saw Foster's label.)

I've been hunting one of these bottles for years. I've only ever seen one in person from someone's collection. Michter's only distilled and bottled Wild Turkey Rye for a short period in the late 70's before the distillery was sold to T.D. Veru.
