I'm a bass player in Indianapolis. I've played punk rock and soul and everything in between. Mostly small clubs.

Love pick'n up my '86 Strat, and just playin' whatever comes out, (love messin' with the minors) I usually play in my jam room in the basement, never in public, not that good...self taught and only play my stuff ....never even bothered to learn anyone else's songs, not that I couldn't ... just don't want to. Occasionally my good friend comes over and we jam, he plays bass...we call ourselves ...Sour Mash... seemed appropriate.

Mostly play my 12 string acoustic. I dabble with the bass, and Im not bad at the djembe (African hand drum) Self taught. I lead a contemporary worship service at church, and play at occasional weddings. That covers the cost of two in daycare.

I'm an acoustic guitar player. Also play some lap steel and Weissenborn.

Nashville; what a great town.

Cheers!

Primarily electric blues (or blues-based rock) for me. I have a nice late 80s American Standard Stratocaster which I got away from after the kids were born but recently returned to with a vengeance. My wife was kind enough to buy me an Epiphone SG G-400 Pro for Christmas which snapped me out of my hiatus and got me going again. What a blast!

Just to clarify; I'm in NH, not Nashville. Sure do enjoy Twangtown, though.

Cheers!

Yeah, it's pretty happenin' here right now. Been here 20 years, moved down from Wisconsin to work for Gibson Guitar, after 5 years moved onto to other music biz gigs. I currently have more guitars than bourbon bottles, but that's getting to be a horse race these days.

'96 Gibson J-45, '68 Epiphone El Dorado, Martin D-28, '96 Gibson ES-350T, Chinese Epi Casino, Fender '85 Esquire, '85 Tele and MIM Strat, Jerry Jones 12-string, Danelectro Baritone, Yamaha classical, Walden 12-string acoustic, mando, uke. And, embarrassingly enough, that's after thinning the herd before moving!

Trumpet player here. Or I guess I should say, former trumpet player. I played trumpet from grade school through high school, and then played for six years in the 74th US Army Band, and a year in the local National Guard Band in Indianapolis. It was while I was in the Army that I developed my love for jazz, which continues to this day. Even though I haven't played trumpet for many years, I still love my jazz, and appreciate any and all good music.

FWIW, I've heard all the jokes before. So, being forewarned is being forearmed. Remember, I am a moderator here. Any off color jokes or abuse will be dealt with swiftly, and decisively.:bs::thankyousign: That's all. :893drillsergeant-th

Cheers! Joe

I have been playing all saxophones/clarinets/flute in the Minneapolis area for 10 years, broadway shows, big bands, weddings, corporate gigs, top 40 cover bands. I have had a day job for 6 years now, and am really liking the combo of gigs on nights and weekends, and a heck of a lot less stress hustling for work or teaching gigs to fill in the gaps.

I'm a semi pro bass player around Charleston,SC. money making gigs are mostly cover band sub gigs, also play at church and have an original band that sounds like 90's Blur/pavement stuff.

Main bass is a Wal MkI (custom build that took 2 years to get). also have a P bass and an old 80's USA made Kramer era Spector NS2.

I'm a better guitar/amp collector than I am a player. But I love me some guitars.

My faves: a '72 Tele Custom of dubious provenance, but righteous vibrations, a '71 (I think) SG 250 with weird single coils that aren't P90s, A Joe Perry Les Paul (the limited one), and a 69 Ampeg DA lucite.

For amps: I love a Rivera-era Super Champ. Marshall JTM45 Offset reissue. Anything Groove Tubes. Have a few Tweed Champs, and some great 100w heads, which are too loud for me to do anything but salivate over, but I'm not givin' em up!!! I've got some Supro amps I can't part with too.

Started playing guitar at age 13 in '73, then switched primarily to bass in '80. Mostly was into rock and blues at the start, then later started getting into jazz and fusion, and was way into fusion during the 80's-90's, but have mostly gotten back to my classic rock roots (hey, I was a teenager in the 70's). Have been in a Pink Floyd tribute band for the last 8 years, but that band has retired from gigging, and we are now just working on recording some of the albums we played. I have a few other groups of friends that I jam with but no gigs, just jamming for fun, mostly classic rock. When I'm not playing bass, I'm playing my acoustic guitar (which is more often these days). Basses: a Precision bass, a Jazz bass, and a fretless Wal Mk1 (they called it a 'Custom 2P' back when I first got it in '83). Guitars: '60 Duo Sonic, Epiphone SG copy, Takamine classical, Martin 000-18, and Martin OM-21.

Here are some vids we made in 1993:

Bassist and guitarist in Chicago. My main gig is with an 80s alternative/New Wave cover band, Dec8de, although I also play with Dann Morr doing his original material.

Haven't played in a band since college. I'm a huge draw at family holidays, picnics, tailgates, and my living room. ;-) acoustic these days, sing and have been known to throw a little harmonica in. Love to play with or without an audience. I play what I like, from the usual singer/songwriter genre to acoustic punk covers. There's a picture of my girls in another thread on here, something about other collections, if you want to track it down. Cheers.

If you like acoustic punk covers check out MXPX. The front man Mike Hererra plays bass for the band but guitar on the acoustic album. I enjoy it regularly. You can always youtube Mike Hererra Acoustic.

Here's most of the collection...sold a few off in February to finance a move out to the country, but still have the cornerstones. Some top shelf, some everyday, some value!
