Why do my pics always go side ways???

Probably due to the way you take the pics on your phone? Try using something like imgur to embed the bb code instead so you can preview the image there (they have basic 'edit image' options to crop/rotate/resize) and preview the post here before you submit it. if you are posting from a phone they have an app for uploading and copying the code also called imgupr.
