An evening of good music and food spent with great friends. The 4RSB wasn't too shabby either...

Tried EHT Small Batch tonight, not sure what to think of it. I think I bought the tube...BT is better in my mind. Hopefully it opens up and is worth the price...

This is what I thought as well and haven't bought anymore EHT since the 1 and only bottle but I have bought another 10 or 12 BT's.

When I saw your name as the most recent poster on this thread, and, that it was Saturday morning, I predicted there would be some WLW in your glass and you did not disappoint.

I salute your positive outlook on life.

Steve,

You're not the only one. Next Saturday, it will be different. I have to work so it will be bourbon less.

I really love my wheaters in the morning! One of these days I'll have to open a PHC 10, they're a pleasure sip.

Wile Turkey RB 03RB, I was holding on to this bottle but I found a replacement earlier in the week.

A store selection 4R OBSO BP with 1/2 an ice cube (which brings it down to 100 proof or so) left to warm to room temp, and several hours later (i.e., now) John J. Bowman Single Barrel.

Having a pour of JBW. I believe this was one of my dads preferred whiskeys and since it is the anniversary of his passing and I couldn't make it up to visit his plot I decided a pour for me and a pour for him was fitting.

I don't have any JBW on hand, but I'll have a pour of another Beam product (OGD114) in your dad's honor. Cheers!

That is kind of you. As a bar owner and Vietnam vet I don't think he was very picky about what he drank. This is just one that I remember from my childhood as left behind when he was gone. I will be continuing with the beam theme myself since I have so many open right now. Probably gonna have a KCSB next since I haven't had a pour of that in some time.

OF Sig and 4RSB for me tonight. Here's to you, as well as your fathers memory Foz! :toast:

ty, that pic ended up a lot more symmetrical than I expected. My next pour of OGDBIB is in honor of him and all veterans on nagasaki day

Had a tasting at my house yesterday with a few friends. WT Diamond, Pap 15, THH, CEHT CO, HHSS Batch 2, 4R OBSO and a '14 GTS. And then people delved off into a few other little pours as well.

Spent Saturday drinking WT101 Old Fashioneds and then made some from Basil Hayden. Followed that up with Sazeracs.

I also cracked a FRSB OBSF. The description of minty is dead-on - very different from the cherry-vanilla of the standard OBSV.

Last night finished off with EWBIB . . . this bottle keeps getting better. It's nice to find something inexpensive and readily available that I really enjoy. Thanks and cheers!

Cracked open a bottle of ETL which I purchased on a trip to New York and hadn't had in years. Thought I'd have one healthy pour and then hit the hay but somehow it turned into three healthy pours. I had forgotten how much I really enjoy ETL and the nose on it was fantastic. Wish that I had been able to find more than just the one bottle.
