What bourbon are you enjoying? Summer 2015!

This day was so crappy, it felt like I got hit by a tornado. I took an ass whoopin'. All day. So appropriately, and since I'm still standing (figuratively), a Category 5 pour of EHT Warehouse C Tornado Surviving. Great nose. But, I'm in no mood for dissecting bourbon notes. I'm just looking for my bottle of "pick my ass up off the mat and get back at it tomorrow" pour. Maybe, only Stagg can help, here. Or, a comforting pat on the head from my Old Grad Dad 114...

OGD114. My first bottle ever. Love it so far. This is the kind of bourbon I would drink up north in Wisconsin sitting in an icing fishing shanty and watching the Packers on TV. It's uberbourbon.

Starting the night with 4RSB. This is becoming more and more of a standard for me. Inspired by DReverb, I will likely follow with some OGD114. My Mom is from Wisconsin, our family likes the Packers, and I've been ice fishing so all that imagery reeled me in.

Back home from the Cards game, watching my Redbird come back and beat the Nationals. Some store picked OBSV from that little ol' distillery nobody here likes is a great way to celebrate.

Wrong thread but oh well. Followed up my taste of Jameson's with a Stranahans. I have to say this stuff is really good. My first impression is honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of cloves. Keep sipping and I love it even more. Nomnomnom.

I was eyeballing a bottle of this yesterday but couldn't recall the reviews/recommendations for it and at $60 I decided to research more before I commit.

This thing is too big for its britches in my opinion. Only 2-3 years old but it drinks like an 8yo. Everyone should try at least a pour if they are on the fence for a bottle. $60 is high but I would pay it personally though YMMV.

Last night . . . Virgin 101 7YO followed by EWBIB . . . both good, but Virgin took the night with it's smoother entry. I'll switch it around next time to see if it makes a difference.

Started with a generous pour of 4 Roses Small Batch, then had my first taste of 60/40 mix of OWA107/W12. I'm floored at how tasty it is...

I'm celebrating today with the last couple of pours from an old label ORVW 10/107. It was a decent day at work relatively speaking. Today was my (expletive) supervisor's last day. :bigeyes: He left to take another position elsewhere within the company. :woohoo:

Just had a pour of RRSiB then WTRB and I can see why you say this. They are both really similar, and it will take some more SbS to be sure, but I think I agree with you.
