Having a pour of Old Fitz BIB. When I opened this bottle a few weeks ago I thought it was a bad batch, but now that it's almost gone it's really hitting the spot. Isn't that how it always goes?

Having a very good pour of an unusual proof (89.4) SAOS SB 10y. This is the best OS I've had from this series. Very good

Wow, I thought the 99.8 I have was low. Never seen one below 90. They must have had a huge stock of low proof barrels.

some wt101 infused with a charred oak spiral I have been ignoring. The nose is a bit harsh but the pour is great

Just getting on the grid today after a day spent with a dear friend who moved to Wales 8 years ago. This is the first time I've seen him since then. He knows very little about bourbon but was eager to learn so we went on quite the journey yesterday. Started with OGDBIB and 114, went to Weller 12 and 4RYL and then 4R OBSK 12yr. and then PH PoH. This was all before dinner! We took a break to prepare dinner and dine and then went right back to it. Didn't waste any time and went right Handy, Stagg, and WLW '14. It was really a lot of fun to see his eyes light up when he found the ones he really liked. Wow did that day ever do me in though. I'm having a little BT tonight and it's not sitting well. Time to take a break!

Some Jack Daniels Silver Select tonight. This stuff is much better than I expected. Beautiful.

Did a taste comparison between KC and KCSB last night. Both are good, KCSB just stands out more

Old Forester Signature... Granted I am an Old Forester fan, but this is just good bourbon! The proof fits perfectly into my wheelhouse and I simply love the nose and taste.

I like this on a little ice and fully enjoy how the flavors evolve as the ice melts... The bourbon becomes sweeter and the butterscotch and spice changes to vanilla, tobacco, and oak. Yum!

While grilling, I had an OGD bonded. For dessert, just a touch of BT Bourbon Cream and Not Your fathers Root Beer!

Damn what a day. We a had a birthday party for my six year old daughter at the house today. From preparing first thing this morning through the end of the party the house was filled with female members of the species. Now I'm out on the patio with some 4R PS OBSO and a cigar for some daddy time.

Having some of the WT101 that I infused with the charred oak spiral in the cocktail kit. A bit too woody/smokey I think and am considering vatting it with something else from the open bottle selection, perhaps the 06 EWSB I am not too fond of. I think I actually should vat it with something smoother like BT but don't have one open at the moment.

Heehee. I feel your pain, bro. Been there!

Back from dinner and listening to the bad news from the Braves game with a big pour of BT.

Had a pour of my OGD114:MCGBUB (motor city gas belly up bourbon) vatting then decided to just vat that with my oak infused WT101 to empty a bottle. Not sure if it helped either but it consolidated a bottle so I am fine with it. Also made another 200ml vatting of Stagg Jr batch 1 and Bookers that I may have to taste again later. Not sure it's better than either of them on their own but how can 2 great bourbons mixed together be a bad thing?

having the last of my wt101 on the rocks, debating on getting another bottle.

nothing to debate imo, I always try to keep one of these (and OGDBIB) on hand even with my excess bunker from my IN trip.

Had some KC at my son's birthday dinner tonight at a local great steakhouse. Came home and decided to duplicate the experience and enjoy a bit more KC. Cheers!

Thurs, worked through the last of a Big Red pick of SAOS BP, followed with some Stagg Jr. #3 earlier this week. The Jr lot 3 is better than the initial dump by a wide margin, but it's stlll so huge and bruising that I can't ever see myself wanting to spend a whole night with only it.

Pouring a 4R OESK GSB for right now.....
