PaulO
Wow, a lot of things even cheaper than the cheapest Indy prices! It makes me think: they want to entice people from IL, and Hammond has low overhead. I always just blew through there on my way to Chicago. I probably wouldn't want to go exploring after sundown. If your friend is a local that helps.

pancakedan
These prices are bringing tears to my eyes. I live in the UK and my wife purchased a bottle of Makers 46 for me at xmas, she paid £60 for it which is about $93. Bourbon is so expensive here in the UK and you can only get the good stuff from merchants who control the prices with no real competition.
mbroo5880i
Fozzy's buying spree created a shortage of bourbon in Indiana and now prices have gone up!
unclebunk
Honestly, I had to go back and look through the pictures two or three times just to believe my eyes. Prices naturally vary a great deal from place to place, so things like FRSB under $35 is normal around here where I live but I nearly shit my pants when I saw the Laphroaig 10 for $25. That would have been an easy case or two right out the door!! It looks like I'll be making a road trip pretty soon, that's for sure.

Had I seen your post earlier in the day I'd have been on my horse and back by now but I guess that'll have to wait until Monday. Now it's time for you to drink up!!
suntour
Wholesale must not be much more than about $20 on Laphroaig. The state of Oregon was selling it for $20 not too long ago, cheaper than OGD.
fozzy71
This whole concept of liquor sales is foreign to us up here. I will be keeping an eye on their sale page (it was missing the KC and Bookers deal so not completely accurate) and if they have some good deals I will have my buddy grab me a few here and there and send him the cash so I can pick it all up on another trip. Tempted to have him grab a few more bottles of that Bookers before this sale ends.

mbroo5880i
My son stopped in the same store (Hammond) and picked up a couple of KC Rye for me for $16.98 each. They had Bookers but it was marked $51.98 and they told him it wasn't on sale. They were busy so he didn't argue with them. The web site shows it is on sale until the end of July. The store he stopped in is smaller than the one in Merrillville.
fozzy71
Not all of their stores I visited had it. The one I am sure had some had it on an end cap while the ones in the main bourbon aisle were not on sale. I will PM you the address. It might have been available at one of the two merrilville stores but I can't be sure.
mbroo5880i
I may be heading up in a few weeks if so I will call ahead and see which store has some. Thanks!
unclebunk
I visited one larger store on Calumet Avenue today and a smaller store on Indianapolis Boulevard but did not come across a few things pictured in your photos. Did you go to Merrillville too? I came away with a bunch of Laphroaig 10 (6 bottles), a pair of KCSB, one bottle each of Makers 46, Beam BIB, EC12 and KC Rye, plus a couple of six packs of Three Floyds beer. All in all, an excellent haul even without the handle of Larceny I was after. Guessing you got 'em all! [emoji1]
fozzy71
Nice haul, I hit most of their locations in Hammond and Merrillville. Only one of the stores (in Merrillville) had any Larceny and I bought all 4 handles. I can't stomach Scotch or Irish anymore. After my first bottle of bourbon it took me forever to kill of the few scotch/irish bottles I had left/open. Bourbon > Rye > or nothing for me now. With one Irish parent and one Scottish parent, whiskey from both countries were a fixture in my home from the day I was born and remain a major part of my drinking rotation. With both also having a 25+ year jump on my discovery of bourbon and rye, I don't ever see them taking a back seat to American whiskey, just another shelf in the cabinet. And don't forget tequila and rum too. Drink 'em all, I say!!

KyleCBreese
I will be attending a wedding in Indianapolis in November. Hopefully I can get my hands on some of that ridiculously cheap Bookers and HH6BIB.

fozzy71
meh, that is actually farther than Hammond was for me. I was hoping to be able to find it near the border so I could make a trip there and back in a day easily.
