Blantons shortage?

Forgive me if the topic has been covered already. I searched the forum and found nothing. I've been searching high and low for a bottle of Blantons. Every place I've been to has an empty spot on the shelf and no idea when they'll get it in. One place has been ordering it since January with no luck. A woman in Ohio recently told me the shortage was due to a shipment going out and the stoppers had popped off in route. Not sure how that would happen, so I'm not sure how legitimate that is. Anybody know what's going on, if anything? Maybe it's just always really hard to find.

It is/was always easy to find here in MI but at $60 I have never tried it. I didn't see any on the shelves in my recent trip to Hammond, IN.

I'd heard it runs anywhere from $45 to $65. That might be a bit much. But I guess that doesn't matter if I can't find it anyways. I have a trip to Frankfort planned for the weekend of the 11th. I'm sure I can find a place down there that sells all kinds of goodies!

This is a high seller where I am at $53 for 750ml and $23 per pint (haha at the 750ml buyers). It's regularly sold out which blows my mind. But I can typically find something if I go to more than one store.

Here in Northern Kentucky it is readily available. I just bought a bottle for my son for his birthday

I have recently had lots of trouble getting Blanton's SFTB in Tokyo. This used to be a rather common bottle. The rest of the line-up (green, black, SB, gold) are still easy to find.

I never see a lot of it on the shelf, but never have trouble finding it. Haven't bought a bottle for a while, but I think it usually runs about $55 or so around here.

Where at in Indy? I might make a trip later today!

If you ever make it up to Indianapolis, it's not hard to find here.

I second that. But it's not cheap. Many stores have one or two on the shelf.

My locals here in Ohio have been empty for a few weeks now and were told not to expect any for a while.

In Lexington it seems like other than ancient age, this is the only other expression of BT mashbill #2 you can easily find. But they did raise the price, I don't recall seeing any for under ~$60 in several months.

None to be found here in Las Vegas on the shelves. I was in Southern California and I did see some. Sam's Club has it and it was only 44.99.

It shows up sporadically at the stores I go to in Atlanta. Of the Buffalo Trace products that aren't always available, it's the one I see the most. I've always figured that was due the price.

When visiting family in Michigan I see it all over the place.

Always see it on the shelves here but I haven't bought a bottle in over a year, ever since went over $50.

It's currently hard to find in my area of Ohio, but when it is available it's around $52. Which is cheaper than I can find in KY or IN, where it's closer to $60.

I'd say do a Google search for stores, then make a few phone calls.

Seems to depend on the region, as many BT products seem to. Down here there are usually a couple bottles on the shelf all over. No store is ever swimming in it but few stores are ever totally out of it too.

Sometimes it is behind the counter. Depends on the location given the price and the fancy bottle. The very Big chain store around here (three outlets in my little town) have at least one on the shelf all the time.
