I did find a bottle on the southeast side of Indy. I have yet to open it though. I was curious if somebody knew why nobody could get it. All of the store owners I talked to have been ordering it, but never get it and weren't sure what was going on.

This is surprising news. Hadn't heard anything about any bourbon being tough to find. Heck, hardly anybody drinks the stuff. Is it possible that we may be moving into a period of tight supplies of bourbon?!?! If this could somehow be accurate, I'll bet we could even see prices rising soon!

It is/was always easy to find here in MI but at $60 I have never tried it. I didn't see any on the shelves in my recent trip to Hammond, IN.

Scrolling thru my pics from the Indi trip I realized this was incorrect. I did see at least one bottle on the shelves.

$50-55 here, at a few stores still. One even kept them in the boxes - why they remove them at others I don't know. They don't remove the single malt from their tubes...

Blanton's seems to be always available if you know where to look. There are always a few smaller out of the way stores that seem to have a few.

Six bottles were put on the shelf at a well known retail establishment here in Las Vegas at 8 AM yesterday. No shortage....

Said bottles were gone by 10:45 AM. The shortage is real.

I agree with Joe. And this time I wasn't drinking anything so I didn't snort and burn my nose.

I thought Blanton's was a low-volume seller for Sazerac/BT, so they don't ship it as regularly as some other labels. To me, this explains why it sometimes disappears from shelves for a while before being restocked. In addition, this is in the Age International part of the business, so I understand distribution decisions are not entirely within Sazerac's control, which is why the Straight From the Barrel label is not available in the US. I also think it's overpriced, so I don't pay much attention to it.

It is one of my favorites at the moment. Most stores I have gone to are out and have been ordering it since April with none shipped. I don't think I have seen a bottle with a date from 2015. It was one I saw everywhere so I took it for granted that it would always be around. guess the playboy review made it popular

Up here in Cleveland it is everywhere. Go figure. Ohio usually has a pretty poor Bourbon selection too.

Must be a regional thing...a quick look shows there's about 600 bottles of it in OR, and not all just in Portland. I have yet to get myself a bottle. I keep hoping a friend can score a SFTB when he goes to Japan for work, but it seems to be pretty scarce there right now.
