alr3111
I was looking for a good recipe for beans to use as a BBQ side at tailgates so I would not have to spend several hours on them. Got this on another forum and they are a big hit whenever I do them. 1 large onion, coarsly chopped2 medium tomatoes, coarsly chopped4 serrano peppers, finely chopped (w/seeds)1 cup cilantro, finely chopped2 cups "Clamato" juice2 27 oz cans Bush's pinto beans, drained6 strips of bacon1 Tbs oil (or lard or bacon grease)Cook onion in hot oil (lard) until just getting soft. Add bacon. When bacon just starts to brown, add beans and all remaining ingredients.Bring to boil and simmer 45 minutes.Drink bourbon before, during and after making the beans (added to make them relative to the forum) Edited July 5, 2015 by alr3111
