fozzy71
http://gobourbon.com/the-top-bourbon-bars-in-america-midwest-region/ No surprise that my local bar Butter Run Saloon made the list. Here is a pic I snapped of the bulk of their bourbon section. It's not easy to tell from the pic but the glass shelves are about 3 rows of bottles deep and the bottom shelf flows out onto the bar top another 4 or 5 bottles deep. jsrudd
The Crunkleton, the bar I used to frequent in Chapel Hill, NC and have recommended elsewhere on this site, also made the list!
HOF44
If you ever find yourself in Lincoln, NE stop here http://jakescigars.com it has one of the greatest selections combined with decent prices that I have ever seen. Tried JPS 30, had a Pappy 20, tried Redbreast 21. They had sooooo much to try.

fozzy71
I have only had a burger from there (tasty) and the light chicken breast platter (also very good) but I expect it is quite good as the food is better than expected for what is basically just a smallish bar. It is a newer building and/or freshly renovated but it reminds me of some of the small hole in the wall bars I grew up playing pool in up north due to it's long/skinny layout. If you make it over this way with some advanced notice PM me and I would be happy to try and meet you there.

Jesse11
Well they named Jack Rose in their Best of the Best in 2014 so that's no surprise. Their "Northeast" list has Bourbon DC, which I could argue is better than Jack Rose depending on what you're looking for. It's less of an experience, but their prices are cheaper and in many cases they have stuff Jack Rose doesn't. They also mention Dry 85 in Annapolis, MD, which I went to a week ago. To me it's a bit scary if that made a "best of" list. It had pretty much standard bourbon bar selection plus maybe 6-7 rarer things and their prices were insane. I think they wanted $45 for Stagg Jr and something like $70 for Stagg. I think I can order any of the 2005 Staggs at Jack Rose for $45 for an oz. The best deal I saw at Dry 85 was a flight (three 0.75 oz pours) of Four Roses SmBLE 2012-14 for $60.
Bourbon Snob
In Los Angeles: The Thirsty Crow. Tiny place, no food, but great bourbon selection. Frankfort: Serafini. Decent food, but outstanding Bourbon selection. They also offer sample platters (flights, I think they were called) for a nominal charge. Prepackaged or create your own. They had every member of the antique collection, and the whole Van Winkle family. Good times. Louisville: obviously there are many, but the bar in the Marriot East is pretty good. 200 or so bottles. rcs86
Here in Owensboro, KY it is The Miller House. Basement of an old house that has been converted to a restaurant and has between 380-400 bourbons currently.

IanShafer
The Whiskey, in Fort Collins, CO, has just under 1500 different whiskies right now. They have their own single barrel selections on tap (buffalo trace, eagle rare, weller SR) They also have poor man's pappy on tap and all 10 four roses single barrel expressions. If you want BTAC or Pappy get ready to pay though. It's my favorite bar in town.
