While it is technically true that not all Van Winkle has been wheated, and it has been made at three different distilleries with some modification in process over the years, 99% of all the Van Winkle ever sold has been wheated and essentially the same recipe.

I brew beer and try my best to avoid those estery off flavors. I'll venture a guess, five years from now, ester in beer will be all the rage. Got to love life in general. Carry on please.
