The price range is heavily influenced by where you happen to be. Eagle Rare, for example, can be had for under $30 in a lot of places. My Big Three (i.e., daily pours) were once AAA 10YO, OWA, and VOB 6YO. Two of those are no longer available and the third is getting hard to find. They all came in for way less than $30. There are a lot of serious contenders at that price point. I'll go with WT101, BT, and ETL. But it would be nice to squeeze in some EC12 and OGD114.

If it was something I had to be able to buy now..

Evan Williams Single barrel ($29)

Buffalo Trace ($28)

Old Weller Antique ($22)

Honorable mention Elijah Craig 12 ($25)

I'll stick with what's readily available which eliminates the likes of ETL and W12.

EC12

OGD114

WTRB

I'd readily put 4RSmB on this list if it was under $30 here, but there is one store that has WTRB for under $30 so that's a good substitute.

lol, mbn, everyone of those is 29,99 or (much) higher here

Keep in mind that I'm only talking sticker price. If we factor in taxes only OGD114 meets the criteria.

Hmmmm, if I count out-of-State purchases I can get an eleven-way-tie for first place (no second place). Heee-Heee!

Henry McKenna 10-year, BIB; OGD 114 (& BIB); EC-12; OWA; OF Signature; WT 101; KC; BT; ER 10 Year; and, EWSB

My top 3 in this range, which require me to buy handles to get the pretax prices shown (back-calculated to 750 mL). But all those prices are "regular" prices and I can count on them to regularly be in stock.

1st: EC12 @ $22-24

2nd: OGD114 @ $21-23

3rd: KC @ $26-27

Honorable Mention : BT @ $20-23, Larceny @ $20-24

My picks would be OGD114, OWA, OFS (and ETL - if it is still under $30 when I run out )

Good luck with finding ETL under $30 when you run out Gary!

my 3 in no particular order:

Larceny

EWSB

1. WT101

2. BT

3. KC

If this were bumped up to $35, it would probably be WTRB, FRSB, KCSB and if it included ryes, Rittenhouse would be in there.

1. EC12 (though calling it under $30 is a real stretch these days - I've only got a few locations near me that still carry it at $28.99, everywhere else is over $30)

2. WT101

3. OGD BIB (or swap in 114 if you're a real boozer)

My thoughts exactly, as for just a few more dollars I can (and would) get any of these. But if I were to stay strictly under $30, the list would change by the week especially due to availability issues. OWA, EC12 and OGD114 would be my choices today except that I very rarely see the former, having had a two-year drought until very recently and now it seems to have disappeared once again. Having said that, these days I am drinking OF Signature, Larceny and Knob Creek more than any of the others I've already named.

My top two are easy:

1. Henry McKenna

2. WT101

For number 3, right now I'd say OGD114. Number 3 might be OWA if it were available or maybe Larceny depending on my mood. Wouldn't surprise me if the McKenna is more than $30 the next time I pick one up. It's already more than that at some places.
