CEHTSB. It's coming off pretty dang good right now. Need this to occur over multiple pours before I call it a trend, but it's definitely much better than the last CEHTSmB I had. This is a development for me because the first bottle of each I purchased were purchased together and at that time, it was hard to tell the difference between them. I determined the SB premium was not worth it. My second bottle of CEHTSmB however, was not very enjoyable. I'd written off the Colonel ever since then (except for BP) so it's nice to find the SB tasting quite good. Bummed about the price though so sbs with BT and ER are in order.

Checking back in later in the evening because I added a late pour of OFBB to the rotation and it's fantastic.

My first two pours of the '15 OFBB came off too tannic, woody, and bitter with not much else going on. I was a bit concerned but also knew that changes could occur either due to exposure or my palate. Tonight's pour is just fantastic. More oak influence than past years but in that beautiful way like when you get some oak flavor in a great wine. Some classic Old Forester flavors along with it. Some depth and complexity here (I wish I could give it some flavor notes like Joe or squire but I'm just not sure what to call some of these flavors). Very pleased with this purchase.

Same here. I purchased and tried them for the first time one after the other. Couldn't really tell the difference but both were a bit astringent to me. Recently revisited both and was quite pleased with the taste. Both fine pours but I prefer the SB over Smb.

Smooth Ambler Old Scout 10 and EWSB2003. I love the SAOS10! Very Turkeyesque, right in between the 8 and 12 Year (not only age wise). Tons of caramel, tobacco and barrel char! My first evening with it but this could become another fave. The Evan Williams I like better than the 2004 I had before and while solid and good I don't think I'll ever really love it. First evening with it too, though! Let's wait and...see...eh, drink...[emoji1]

4RSB and OBSF. Tonight I am liking the regular 4RSB better and it is only half the price. But that is tonight. Tomorrow I may change my mind.

Watching Thurs Nite Football Just had a pour of regular BT, thats done glassed is chilled filling it with some Weller 12 what a difference between the 2

I prefer the Weller but both are good but the Weller 12 really lives up to its billing. Just wish it cam in a nice corked bottle instead of the plastic screw top.

At the restaurant bar next to my hotel in Wausau, WI, enjoying a fantastic...and I mean fantastic!, pour of ER10. The richness and fullness of this is stunning. And, with a big dark cherry note, throughout. If my local shore had this on the shelf, I'd buy them out.

4th Quarter: OFBB14

Those 3rd and 4th quarter pours should brighten your mood no matter the score.

The taste buds appear to be on an exceptional night given that my first pour, VOB6, was tasting as good as ever. Following up with CEHTSB and dang if this one is also tasting about as good as I remember it. I think OFBB'15 is next.

Started with ogd 114 followed by this awesome saos 8 yr barrel strength. I pulled the saos this from the bunker. Man I forgot how good this is.

Cocktails at dinner: Sazeracs with Templeton (don't hate me, I just asked the bartender to throw me a drink) and a dry old fashioned (no syrup) featuring HH6BiB that I gifted the bartender since he's moving away in a couple of weeks. Finishing up by killing a SAOS 7yr and revisiting a 4R PS/GS OBSO (10yr 8mo, 60.7%) at home. I guess the trend is my friend.

The tail end of the SAOS showed a bittersweet chocolate note that I don't ever recall encountering before.....which is nicer than the unusual hint of naphthalene (mothball) I'm getting the from the OBSO. Weird and worth revisiting in the near future with a fresher palate.

Celebrating our anniversary a day early since I have to work grave tomorrow. An 04 BGM cigar and a healthy pour of PHC POH.

Really enjoyed my WTRB last night. Fall is my favorite time for bourbon when I no longer need to add a cube of ice to enjoy. Just pure heaven with tons of flavor.
