thisoneguy
I was in the right place at the right time tonight. There is a new "special occasion" pour around my house (if I can keep myself out of it). Delicious.

thisoneguy
Wish we would get the LE stuff around here.I definitely was not expecting to see this, but it was the limited bottle that I was most hoping to get this year. I think I peed a little when I saw the shape of the bottle when the owner came out of the back after he said he had something special.

Came to my senses and picked up the last bottle the following day.
mbroo5880i
After several weeks of thinning the herd, I found that I only had 4 open bottles - Heaven Hill Select Stock, GTS, ER17 and Pikesville Rye. Obviously, these aren't every day bottles. So, I opened a bottle of KC Rye, RHF and Blanton's. Enjoying a pour of each tonight.
smokinjoe
Destroying GBS OBSK in front of a roaring fire in the outdoor fireplace, tonight. I have always liked the rich and deep flavors of this selection, but its creaminess is especially showing spectacularly right now.

b1gcountry
I poured another from my first bottle of BT. Every time I've sampled this it seems to taste different. All good. Tonight all I could taste was cinnamon.

Saves a lot of money and fruitless chasing after unicorn bourbons.I realized later that night that I had brushed my teeth an hour before I poured the BT, which helps explain the minty fresh taste. The time before was outside in 40 degree weather in front of a fire. I'm thinking the BT is just well balanced, and different flavors come to the front based on conditions.I did taste a ton more caramel when I first opened the bottle. Had anyone else found this to be true?
glassjapan
Getting close to finishing up a bottle of Smooth Ambler Old Scout 10yr. Really enjoying this stuff but on the fence about whether I prefer the 7yr more. Either way, the man sure does pick really good barrels!
flahute
Been doin' the Turkey trot tonight. RR10 to kick off. It was tasting particularly good at the end of the pour so I had another. Now deep into a pour of the 12yr 101. First pour of this was excessively woody. Second pour was better and gave me hope. Third pour is fantastic - beautiful pour. Jazz Nut
After a few nights of not liking any bourbon I drank---too hot, no flavor, etc. I am REALLY enjoying a pour of SB Blend (it's been marrying a month now), I topped it with a little bit of W12. I did have a pour at a bar of Booker's 25th, this weekend, and dang was it good. That's what may have ruined my palate Sunday and Monday. Nothing that I have open in the bar compared to Booker's 25th. So good!
