Sluggo
Mowed my yard. Mulched leaves and picked up twigs from all the high wind we've had recently so I figure it's time for a reward. I've just poured three ounces of RHF and I'm letting it breathe for a few minutes before enjoying. Salute!

dSculptor
Just popped A SAOS 10 that I just bought and tried for the first time.... Nose is fantastic, very aromatic, first pour was heavy Rackhouse, second pour seemed a bit perfumish, but in a good way,Taste is excellent ,I love bourbons that penetrate the tongue and stay there for awhile, kind of like sucking on a piece of candy for a while.Finish is nice and long and sweet .. very nice! Oh and might I add it's 100 proof! I'll be trying the 7 yr. next time I see it.

flahute
A little behind because of yet another windstorm and power outage for us. On the first night of the outage, we went to a bar and grill the next neighborhood over from us that had power. Limited selection so I had Knob Creek. It hasn't worked for me in the past so figured I'd give it another shot. Liked it a lot better this time. I was three or four sips into it when our food came and the waitress knocked over my glass. She felt really bad so she gave me a replacement pour with a lot of extra so I essentially ended up with a double for the price of a single. Not bad.....Took the edge off the power outage for me. Jazz Nut
Just opened up a bottle of Elijah Craig 18, I was worried that this would be a bit too oaky for me. But it tasted really great, there was a lot of orange peel, spices, and moderate--but not overpowering oak for me. Looking forward to enjoying this as the weeks go by. Then I moved to my first bottle of ORVW, very tasty. Almost like OWA with more cinnamon, oak depth, and smoothed out finish---almost no alcohol in the nose or the finish despite the 107 proof. I had to try OWA to compare, and they have some similarities but ORVW is just so well executed compared to OWA. With that said, I am VERY happy to have several bottles of OWA on hand, and have found a new appreciation for it comparing it to ORVW. I am finishing the evening with SB Blend, which has married for about 1 month, and is tasting extremely good tonight.

kcgumbohead
Had some SB blend last night. looked forward to this for a long time but my particular batch is still a letdown after more time to mingle. The components are better than the sum. The W12 in the blend is by far the best W12 I have ever had so that may be part of it. The OWA is my only OWA but I enjoy its simple profile and robust flavor as a neat pour. Finishing the blend first so I can savor the parts in the future. Fort Knox
Decided to mix up a couple of Old Fashioned's this evening. The first, I made with Woodford Reserve, the 2nd with OGDBIB. Both were very good, but I think I might need to pick up a bottle of Rye to be able to make a more traditional Old Fashioned at some point.
