BigRich
I pulled the fire pit around front to keep me warm while handing out candy. I've been on an OGD 114/BT/1792 round robin and enjoying every bit.
DeluxeReverb
Moved to the country, this is our first Halloween out here, and we had 0 kids asking for all this great candy I bought. Hmmm...what to do.....Let's find out how well plain M&Ms pairs with HH6yoBiB. Then maybe try ETL and Snickers.

flahute
Went to a Halloween party last night and had my doubts about what would be available so I prefunc'd with the Pikesville I had just come home with. My suspicions were confirmed as only JD was on hand at the party so I actually drank nothing at the party because I knew we weren't going to stay long. Upon returning home I got a wild hair and cracked the ER17 for the first time in a long time and capped off the night with Blanton's SFTB.

Vosgar
Last night Mrs. Vosgar and I went out to dinner with two other couples. We met at one of the other couples house for drinks before heading to the restaurant, and knowing that the host is a beer and wine guy who doesn't care for bourbon, I'd thought about bringing a flask but decided against it. Lo and behold there was an unopened bottle of FRSB waiting for me. He asked if it that was going to be OK since he didn't have any idea of what to buy and I assured him he'd done good, very good
El Vino
ER10 private selection. Just great whiskey. Nose is straight forward, but the palate balances barrel influence with rye spice and just enough burn. Probably two pours left, so if Game 5 is anywhere near as entertaining as its predecessors it will hit the recycling bin this evening.
Phil T
Friday night it was a short pour HHSS #2. I opened the bottle right when I got it, and there is still 1/3 of it left. I have been enjoying this treat, a little at a time.Tonight, back to my usual treat, HH BIB.
Paddy
It's been a pretty big weekend in Lexington, with the Breeder's Cup, my son's high school regional cross country meet (as well as his birthday), and the Tn/Ky football game. I had a nice mix of MM46, 4RSB, OF Sig and OWA (that I had taken to a tailgate). It appears that the OWA was the hit of the weekend, as that poor bottle didn't last 30 minutes! P. S. I'm exhausted...:falling:
Richnimrod
No guesses yet. I'm analyzing first for proof and age. One is clearly older by color and flavor. One seemed to be younger by color alone; but, Gary hinted it may not be the youngest. I guessed correctly that all at or above 100-proof. That's as far as I got before I abandoned the analysis for another time. Palate began to tire, which in my case doesn't need that much extra challenge... HA! flahute
To Flahute...Sorry it took me so long to get back to this; but here is how it all came out. After several sessions and a few helpful hints from Gary, I did a fair to middling job of guessing.I guessed Mystery A to be a 4-R barrel pick of OBSF at 9-years old and 109-proof. Turned out to be 4-R barrel pick of OBSO at 10-years, 3-months and 109.8-proof.I guessed Mystery C to be a 4-R barrel pick of OBSV at 10-years old and 108-proof. Turned out to be 4-R barrel pick of OBSO at 11-years, 3-months and 112.2-proof.I guessed Mystery B to be the current release of OFBB, which I haven't tasted. I based that upon previous ones I've had; so; 12-years, 100-proof. It turned out to be a dusty Wild Turkey 101 ('84), at 8-years old (or at least that is the stated age; but we all know those decanters from that era contain a good deal of older juice). I did guess that it was very like an 'eighties dusty', but had nothing to compare that I thought was any more likely than the '15 OFBB. So, I missed that; but with a good excuse: I never tasted the stuff! Not that excuses count for ANYTHING at all. HA!All-in-all: Loads of stimulating diversion, and a lot of plain old fun!Hey Rich, thanks for remembering! Great notes and a great experience trying to guess some really fine pours. The 4R Private Selections are always a winner in my book and how cool is it to taste a mid 80's WT101?
