We adopted a 3-month old puppy over the weekend and I haven't gotten much sleep. I will be pouring a large glass of a Barrel Proofer tonight, not sure which yet.

Catching up, it was several evenings of EC12 as I battled a head cold and double shifts last week, the EC12 definitely kept the cold at bay. Finally kicked the cold and long hours and enjoyed a second to last pour of a 4RBS OESQ, le tour de 10 in entering the final stretch.

FRYL - light but nowhere thin, elegant and easy to drink. Just good. Always amazed at the price to performance ratio on this. I paid 11 Euro for the 0,7 L Bottle.

Indian Summer here and OGD 114 is tasting even better all three ways--neat, with a drop, with a cube.

Starting off with PVW 12 and finishing this bottle... sad to see it go as I doubt it will be replaced in the near future

Started off the night with CEHT Single Barrel and I find myself enjoying this one more with each pour. This has me concerned because of the price. I clearly need to set up a blind tasting with this against the other BT mashbill #1's to determine if it's really worth it.

Now into some Baker's and it's the third or fourth pour from this bottle and it's really starting to sing and to remind of why I liked it so much the first time around. It has a maple syrup and caramelized sugar thing going along with some char that I just love.

Was in Memphis for a long weekend. The wife and I had plenty to do so we didn't get to Beale until our last night there - Sunday night. Ditched the beer when we got to Jerry Lee Lewis's club and had a couple pours of 4Rsmb. Met a pair of siblings (brother and sister) from London and shut down Jerry Lee's place. We all went up the street to the only place left with live music where we had KC and ran into some old timers who remembered the Andy Kauffman/Jerry the King Lawler feud. What a hoot! Haven't laughed that hard in a long time. (Check out the documentary "I'm from Hollywood".) The young guy from London is a passionate Scotch guy but was willing to try some bourbons. He works for a marketing firm that has Diageo as a client. I invited him to join our group. Hopefully, he'll join up when he and his family finish up their "holiday" in the US.

Weller 12, the bottle is about half gone but still much hotter than the previous bottles I've had. I let the bourbon breathe a little bit (20 mins.) and it seems to be helping. Still there seems to be some bottle variation.

Might pour a little Rock Hill Farms, then (already poured) Springbank 12 CS.

StaggJR:BT at 1:3 to start off the task of resetting my body clock. I haven't had a pour since Friday night and have been waking up between 3 and 4 every morning since then and it must stop. :smiley_acbt:

Evan Williams BIB tonight. The black label was my staple all the way through college. I have had several off the different years of single barrel but this is my first glass of the BIB. I think it is my favorite out of the 3. Great bourbon especially at 13$.

Started off my some Larceny before moving to KCSB.

mmmm larceny. I forget about my handle some times since it is on the counter and not up on the bourbon shelf. might have to drag that over to the on deck area I set up earlier. The open KCSB is also in the back row with the rest of the higher proof barrel proofers to help make it last and may have to make an appearance later tonight. Next on deck though is a pour of BT:114 at 3:1 to see how it compares to this batch 2 StaggJr:114 at 1:3.

I think I'm drinking the cheaper, recently released IW Harper. It was dark in the dining room when I reached behind the door and grabbed a bottle by the neck. This is after I had some 1985 Fonseca Guimeraens port I found under my basement stairs earlier this week, and I've been sipping for days just to make sure it is OK.
