The bourbon I most want Santa to bring me is.......?

If your beautiful wife/girlfriend or all around good buddy were to buy you just one quality bourbon for under the Christmas tree, what would it be??

Strangely, it's one of which I already have three bottles. But, since I can't find A.H. Hirsch 16yo in Tennessee anymore (and can't legally have it shipped to me from out-of-state), I'd like just one more bottle before I open one of my remainders. Of course, once I get it, I'll want "just one more..."

I am asking for a "gift-basket" of sorts. Imagine if you will: 1 bottle each of Wild Turkey 12yo, Sazarac Rye 18yo, Weller 19yo, GTS '03 and a pewter-topped Kentucky Spirit. Throw in some pistachios and a bottle of bourbon BBQ sauce for good measure and that's about right.

I would go with the Hirsch 16 as that ended up being my Thanksgiving drink today(it just edged out the Van Winkle Rye) and just always impresses me.

The post about the basket of good bourbon, reminds me of a great site I saw yesterday at a local liquor store. All in a row was the Eagle, Sazerac, Weller and Stagg, followed by the Van Winkle "Lot B" and then the Hirsch. All reasonably priced(the Hirsch was $60, but that was an okay price I think before the Chicago stores blew it out). Of course a bottle or two followed me home as that sort of display was not meant to be left on a store shelf.

I really like that gift basket idea. I think mine would be Eagle Rare 17, Pappy Van Winkle, Weller 19, and Wild Turkey Twelve. You could put nothing else in it but that plastic grass, and be assured that it is fabulous.

Incidentally, if anyone knows of a liquor store anywhere on earth where they still have a bottle, I have a pilot friend who has dedicated his resources to securing me a bottle, but he's having some trouble locating one.

If your pilot friend can get me a sealed bottle of WT Freedom or WT Stampede (or better yet both _I'll make sure you get a WT KY Legend, from my stash. The WT KY Legend goes for about $80 give or take with the shipping to the US, yeah I know, Ouch!
