The label, the bottle, the name, they all matter. 

 

Two design studios that have done it best are David Cole out of Bellingham, WA (you'll notice several of their designs) and Raisin Pure NYC (I believe they changed their name to Force Majeure). These 2 have knocked it out of the park IMHO.

This is exactly what I'm talking about, especially the David Cole work. The designs on the Magnus product are brilliant. If I was a newbie, I'd be honing in on those just on looks alone.

My favorite to date has been an OBSK.  I don't know if it's the individual barrels or the high rye mas, but I've preferred the B's over E's for K, Q, and F (I haven't compared O's or V's against each other yet).  I've only had one that I thought was sub-par and that was an OESF.
