Tony Santana
I'm heading to Charlotte, NC in the near future. Staying downtown, likely won't have a vehicle. Any suggestions for bars with decent bourbon selections and/or liquor stores in the area? Not asking for disclosure of your honey holes with the latter inquiry, just wondering if there's any interesting place worth browsing, maybe one with 4R private selections or an inventory big enough that I may find something that isn't available around here. Hop
Not going to be a lot of help here I'm afraid. NC is a control state so you'll be a little limited on what you find. There will be some LE's available of course but I've never seen PS 4R at a bar. If your in uptown check out Cutters in the Marriott and Mortons as well as Ruth's Chris usually have a good selection in their bars.
Hop
Best bet is this. Rent a car or better yet Uber so you don't have to drive and come up to my house I'll supply the bourbon and the Uber costs will be less than the bar bill would be anyway! TheVilleWRX
In the future, Wilmington has the best bourbon selection. But, what they said, Charlotte will be lacking. I went there for a bowl game a couple years back and it was difficult to find things to do at night.
O'DubhGhaill
Rent a car, Frugal MacDoogle in Fort Mill, SC, just over the border south of Charlotte. As I remember, it had an outstanding selection with rock bottom pricing.Take I-77 Southbound to the Carowinds Blvd. exit. Stay in right lane and turn right onto Carowinds Blvd. Take the first right onto Festival Drive and then take your next right turn and proceed into Frugal MacDoogal's parking lot.
