mbroo5880i
I guess it depends on where you are located. I agree that I wouldn't pay $79 for Blanton's. Liquor stores in Indy have it for around $52 to $60, including some private selections. Meijer runs what seems to be a continual sale at $49.99 but occasionally they run out. Jazz Nut
That is really high. Hopefully you can find Rock Hill Farms as a substitute, a perhaps better option!

lukehalee
I actually prefer Rock Hill most of the time.recently bought 2 Blanton's (barrel 504?). Not real tasty. Very grassy if that's an appropriate adjective.

ken_mays
And here I was, having a hard time countenancing $60 a bottle. I still wouldn't have any if someone hadn't given me a bottle. There are just too many other things under that price I'd max out on first, but I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of BT.
jersey12
I've actually seen it cheaper around here lately. Usually in the $55-60 range but in the last few days I've seen it for 46.99 at one place and 49.99 at another.
lukehalee
Harry, I am in beautiful Kansas.its $59 most places. But I have been told it is on "allocation " here, but u still see it around.
Harry in WashDC
That "allocation" tag is really weird. We saw NONE for months. Starting maybe in Feb/Mar 2015, it started showing up in onesies and twosies, and of course was scarfed up immediately. Over maybe the last two or three months, I see it in most stores AND the display holds multiple bottles. 375s are around, too. Maybe they sort of caught up with demand at that $60 price. Radsman13
My guy here said that they used to get four cases a month and that now they only get four cases every other month.Glad that they have only raised the price from $54 per bottle to $58 per bottle in the last year...still readily available though
willmohawk5
I'd burn that store down. That's insane lolBlanton's here in $46.99 if you are wise to the good liquor stores and avoid the smaller ripoff ones.
Golzee
"I'd burn that store down."Burn it all to the ground...any store that gouges prices, we should pillage. Sav-Way in STC is first...$199.99 for ETL...ignant...

Sav-Way in STC is first...$199.99 for ETL...ignant...Yes fire fire fire!!! Just sucks when a semi decent store pulls this crap. A couple nearby, OWA for $49.99 (when during the summer it was $26.99). And another store Booker's Dot's Batch for $110. WTF! I'm not getting into the BTAC and the Pappy garbage pricing. Just when you see shelf bourbons not hard to find being marked at 2-5 times the store owner needs a punch to the nuts.
Flyfish
How are we to define "gouging"? Is there a dollar demarcation? Is it a percentage? What if I can get Booker's in AZ for $43 but it is $63 in OH? Is a third more "gouging"? What if the third more is the minimum price allowed by the state? What if I'm a former Scotch drinker who discovers that pretty much every bourbon is a bargain compared to what I am used to paying?Personally, if I don't like the price of anything, I don't buy it. Have never been gouged.

jaxn slim
We don't seem to have any Blanton's in Houston. The prices will have to rise here, or it will never sit on the shelves for more than a day or two. Craziness.
gburger
Out of stock in Austin as well. They are allocating it here as well.
mouch
Ontario, Canada LCBO is showing discontinued. I hope this is short term. We can usually get it up north here for around 60 ish. Considering our dollar that's not a bad deal when others like BT are around mid 40.
bullitt
Kinda makes me appreciate OGD BiB and WT101 even more!I agree! it's why I haven't tried Blanton's myself yet.
Jazz Nut
I agree! it's why I haven't tried Blanton's myself yet.Though I've bought several bottles of Blanton's throughout the years, I don't regularly stock it. It would be nice to see Blanton's at a higher proof and an age statement (which should be easy to do since it's a single barrel product). Just put the date barreled and date bottled! WT101 is always there, and packs a lot of flavor for the cost.
ratcheer
I saw it at the Alabama ABC, yesterday. It's just slightly less than $60.Tim
atbat82
Bought a bottle yesterday for $47.99 in CT. They had at least 6 on the shelf. The second place I stopped in (looking desperately for OFBB) had 4 or 5 bottles at $52. Either the stores just stocked and I got lucky, or it's becoming easier to find around here.
