Any judgemental relatives?

Probably not judgmental per se, but I think my mom is sometimes slightly concerned, if only from a monetary point of view. She doesn't want me to spend all my money I've earned from my engineering coop (whiskey is probably one of my cheaper hobbies, audiophilia has taken it's toll). In the end I guess it's really just her being a mom and worrying about me.

As far as the actual alcohol part goes, my parents never drank when my brothers and I were growing up. Until I was in high school I never saw either of my parents have a sip of alcohol that I can remember. It wasn't like they were super opposed to it or anything, they just never drank. Now they drink some and I've actually kinda got my dad into nicer whiskey recently.

That it is... Most of my friends think I'm crazy for buying headphones (and recently a pair of CIEMS) that are so expensive. It's worth it to me though!

I had a similar story with a gf during college.  I went to my future bro in law's bachelor party and came home the next morning with a wad of singles.  My gf got all pissed off about it since we went to a strip club, I mean duh, what else were we gonna do?  I told her that she should be more concerned if I didn't come home with a wad of singles!
