Sure it seems pricey, but the Event for my area is Nashville and they did it up well last 2 years.

anyone else attend these events here?

Not many folks know about the eventbrite RSVP that's in the box with the bottle. The meal and drinks alone were worth my wife and I as a nice getaway, plus you get to meet either Wes or Kyle, get a t-shirt, etc, etc. The regular AE was freely poured!

wow, that definitely doesn't sound like the event they had here in Chicago last year.  it was just 2 cocktails each using AE and then some appetizers and then a free tasting of the AE Rye.  we did get to meet Wes, but other than that, it was an ok event, nothing spectacular, but not horrible either.  the wife and I left early to go get food at another bar once we were done with our drinks though.

I have been to the past three events (for me they typically happen early in the year following the year of the release), 2013 in Louisville, 2014 in Nashville and then last year here in Atlanta. I am signed up again for the event in Atlanta early next year. I always enjoy them but each one I have gone to has had cocktails and appetizers as well as a meet and greet with Wes (and the "Angels" ) but no meal was involved, unless you got there early and ate a lot of appetizers!

Now in Nashville in 2014 I must note that Wes was kind enough to invite us to join him for dinner afterwards and that was a very enjoyable evening (and the meal was great!)

Did you go to the event at the Southern? Sounds like that was the one where he took you out afterwards, and yes, the biscuits and steak appetizers went fast.

Earlier this year in Nashville was at Moto Cocina, full meal, very nice, I'm signed up for the Nashville event in March.

Already heard from Wes, but not sure of the event place yet, but pretty sure it will be nice. Wes usually drives down and I always send him cigars back for his son Kyle.

I don't recall where we went in Nashville in 2014 but it was a pretty nice venue. I want to say it was a place called Urban Grub.

I will be going to the Atlanta event again this year in February.

It was at The Southern, valet only parking and open bar of the regular AE. Just biscuit/steak and maybe some other crab cakes or something., not much
