b1gcountry
So I was on the recliner with some neat 100pf the other night, and with the angle I was reclining at, the alcohol really burned my throat and I had a violent reaction. Is this just the way in wired or is everyone like that? I want reclining far, just a little. 45 degrees or so.

Harry in WashDC
I have lots of practice at doing really dumb stuff. Drinking while supine or reclined, with and without a straw and both hot and cold and fizzy or not and thick or thin, covers just some of my better efforts. Reclining and drinking allows the alcohol/carbonation/pulp/etc. to reach the back of the mouth in a bunch instead of being spread out. The alcohol has noplace to go but up against soft tissue, and your tongue back there is too thick to help spread it around. How to avoid a problem? Smaller sips and don't use a straw.
