Regional Timing Release Question

This question is largely targeted to members from Virginia but I'm also curious to see how this product has hit shelves nationwide. 

I'm in VA and was wondering if anyone here had managed to get a EH Taylor Barrel Proof (this year's 127.4 release) at the state ABC stores? According to BT the EHTBP was sent in June but unless the area by me just didn't get any (and I was pretty diligent about checking) I'm not sure it was released.  

I'm curious if anyone has any success in VA in getting this product. I was able to find last year's release in last January so maybe it's just a late release? 

Apologies if this might belong in the dedicated thread in the Premium subforum but I thought the conversation might go beyond my question.

I believe they were shipped to Louisiana around that time last year. They were gone within a week and probably won't see any more until the next batch is released.

That's my guess for VA too.

Thanks. I never ended up seeing it hit the ABC site. So it probably went fast.

I'm in the Roanoke, VA area and have never seen EHTBP in the stores around here. The only one I was able to get was in Ohio, but that was an earlier release in June of 2015. I would imagine there are areas of VA that get more distribution than here, depending on volume of sales.

I think you're right about the targeted distribution. The stores near me usually seem to do pretty well when it comes to getting allocations so I was surprised it never showed up.

in virginia, there's a couple stores in tidewater and maybe North VA that get limited stuff preferentially.  For example, Old Blowhard went tidewater.  Almost 0 went to poor silverc's neck o' wood and that ONE bottle was from bitchin' and whining.

I am in MD.  We got them here this year, several months ago. Recently more popped up, thought that was odd.

That happened last year in VA, at least at a store near me. It was only a few bottles but it definitely seemed strange.

Same thing happened here with ECBP #9. It's my understanding the distributor is a problem.

towers will have best selection on shelf, williamson road will have the most in the back.  cave spring and crossroads get interesting picks from time to time.
