I know many of you here hate Jim Beam whiskey no matter what. So I suppose this is for the newer folks. Jim Beam Bonded IMHO is the best entry level bourbon out there. I am on my fourth bottle of it and continue to be impressed. Silky mouthfeel, little burn for 100 proof, and on the palate a nice mix of nuts, caramel, and spice.

I hope you Beam haters give it a chance. If you are a Beam hater only because you feel like you are supposed to hate any Jim Beam product based on what SKU and other reviewers have said, then I especially encourage you to try it.

It's good in the JB way. Great value. All about it but the first thing that overwhelms me is cinnamon. Not a big fan of cinnamon but I still like this pour.

Agree here!  BTW, most discussion I've seen here has been positive, and I'm a fan!  Heck, it was my recommendation for bourbon of the year!;)

Not sure if you've been absent for a while, but there's plenty of love for Beam products on these pages. Bonded Beam gets a lot of love here. KC, KCSB, and Booker's are perennial favorites. Heck, even Baker's is getting some attention as of late.

Beam is the girl next door...it may be great, but, it is always there.  I'm not too proud, and I will never say no if someone offers me any Beam.

I haven't tried the JB Bonded, but I did get two bottles of JBSB  for $15.99 ea on clearance last week - pretty good stuff.

Well put Golzee.

I'm a big fan of Beam but haven't tried the Bonded.  Booker's and OGD114 are two of my all time favorite bourbons.

I admit I used to knock Beam.  That's mostly because their flagship product isn't something I'd want to drink straight, and it's everywhere.  Some older folks blame Beam for buying the Old Crow brand and turning it into garbage.  Then there's Devil's Cut and some of the favored stuff they are putting out.

I've come around that I really like OGD 114, KC and KCSB (from Beam).  The truth is every major distiller in KY has some items I like, and others that don't interest me.

I'm a big fan of bonds.  I would like to try the JB bond.  For some reason, stores near me have it priced like KC.

I've always been a fan of  Beam, Devil's cut is actually not that bad, nor is the Bonded stuff, I only had 1 bottle of it, but thought it was ok. KC and KCSB are at the top of my all time fav's -that you can actually find, I always like to have a bottle of those on hand, which reminds me -- I'm out of both.

I love JBBIB.  It's my favorite whiskey with Jim Beam on the label.  I wish it were more common.  Everybody has Devil's Cut, Apple, etc..  Maybe 1 in 10 stores here carries it.  I wish they had handles too.

I was at the grocery store today and saw a bottle of JBBIB with a $5 rebate hangtag on it.  I already have a bottle in the basement, so passed, but this might be a good time to give it a try.

This reminds me that I need to crack open my JBBIB.  I think it is about $20 at Total Wine around me.  I've also been contemplating blending up a bit of JBBIB and JBB (the 8 year Double Aged), as these are arguably two core expressions that exemplify the Beam profile (give the JBB a bit more proof, and the JBBIB a bit more age).

I'm not a Beam hater, just don't like it. I have tried all of their iterations, BIB included, just don't like it.

I still have a partial bottle I bought when it first hit the shelves. The predominant flavor/aroma I get is something on the order of peanuts with fried rice! It's pleasant, but I have to be in the mood for it. I suspect that later bottlings have, or will have, gone a slightly different direction.

And yes, Beam is no stranger to BiB bourbon. Their original flagship, Old Tub was a BiB. OGD has a BiB expression (and by the way, I just came home with a bottle of the repackaged stuff....I miss the trademark bright orange screw cap, and the flavor of this one seems different. Not as spicy, very smooth, but also a very sweet brown sugar note), and if memory serves, our own Col. Cowdery was told either by Booker or Fred that Knob Creek qualifies as a BiB but isn't marketed that way. All of these are different in character; there ought to be something there to please anyone.
