Charleston, SC Where to go

Good Afternoon Everyone!

 

The Mrs and I are headed to Charleston for a week and I wanted to check with you guys to see if there are any spots you'd recommend. Clearly I love bourbon so any restaurants/bars with a great selection would be awesome. Also if there are any standout shops where I can find great bourbon prices, I'd love to hear of them too.

Husk is a good stop for great food and bourbon selection.

Ditto Husk.  Great selection of bourbons and owner is a friend of JVW, thus a complete (but expensive) selection of PVW as well.  Reservations are a must to get in, however.

Burgers at Husk (only available at lunch) are themselves worthy of a trip...with the biscuits and gravy on the side.

Husk is what came up on all the google searches. Good to hear that its worth all the fuss. Also good to know that I'll need to make reservations.

I had an incredible meal at Hall's Chophouse a few months ago.  The dry aged NY strip was was of the best steaks I've ever had!  I also drank some BTAC.  They had all except WLW.  I would highly recommend it.  Make sure you ask to be seated upstairs.  The downstairs (where the bar is) is very loud.
