I have been out of circulation for some time now.  What happened to this fine 100 proof bourbon?   Cant find it anywhere anymore.  Thanks

depends on where you are at, I still see it on shelves here in Chicago.

I don't know how long you were out of circulation.  It changed distilleries back around 1992.  Nowadays it's only distributed in some states, and not in every store in those states.  There is a newer brand of Old Fitz called Larceny.  It's worth a try if you like the Old Fitz bond, but can't find it.

Giving this thread a bump, The one local store that carried this has been out now for a couple months.  I called last week.  They only have the 80.

It's been gone around here (no. CO) for a couple years. Wish it would come back.

Picked up a handle in Louisville a few weeks ago, about a month or more after finding some 750's at the same Liquor Barn.  One of the store guys said they try to keep it around - mostly handles, the 750's are really hard to come by.

I really like Larceny, I know some aren't a fan of it, but given the "hot commodity" nature of wheated bourbons, something that's roughly $20 is welcome.  So I'd recommend checking that out.  I like it more than the Old Fitz BiB.  That said, I have to say I rather like it for what it is.  Is it "knock your socks off, super underrated, etc"?  No, but it's something that I'd be willing to pour for a bunch of people at a party and not feel like I'm pouring out crap.  I haven't poured it out, whereas I have poured out other more expensive bourbons solely because I didn't think it was worth the liver damage.

I only find it in KY and mainly at LB stores - much more prevalent in the 1.75 size but I did find some 750's a couple of months back and laid back a case.  That said I also have some 1.75's that I use to refill the 750's which works out slightly less expensive and the 750's are easier to pour from

Seems to be Kentucky-only nowadays. It dried up in the Indianapolis area last fall.

It was still on the shelf of one of my local stores here in Illinois three or four months ago.

I haven't been to Chicago for a couple years.  In the past it seemed to be fairly popular there.
