Flyfish
I went to see my friend Bill at his lake house. He suggested we might enjoy some bourbon while staring at the water and lamenting our lost and wasted youth. From his cupboard he produced a bottle of EC12. "Bill, where did you get that," I asked. "The 12YO isn't available anymore. You have an heirloom." "You gave it to me," he said. So, I can't be the only SBer who has benefited from what goes around comes around. Where have you encountered bourbon karma?
jsrudd
This isn't my story, but a friend of mine (also a poster on this forum) gave a college friend a bottle of PVW15 on the occasion of the birth of his first child. Fast forward a couple of years and this college friend moved away, leaving behind with my friend a mostly full bottle of PVW15. It turns out that the movers wouldn't move open bottles of alcohol. Good story but it leaves me thinking so many things. (1) I wouldn't trust anyone to move my bottles other than myself. (2) Put it in the trunk Gave my brother-in-law a Lot B as a wedding gift. Keep eyeing it when I visit waiting for him to open it
Louisiana
I gave a good friend about 2/5 of a bottle of last years 2015 GTS. I had already enjoyed it and I knew he would too. This was about a month ago. A few days ago he up and give me a sealed 2015 WLW. I wasn't expecting that, but gladly accepted the offer. Good Karma.
