Black Maple Hill Stright Bourbon

So I found some OWA and 3 more bottles of Baby Saz today.

However, in the backroom I came across two bottles of Black Maple Hill Stright Bourbon for 89$ each. Anyone have some experience with this bourbon? How does the price sound? He said he would hold one for me till Friday, since I'm already about 2 bills in today.

I was not impressed with Noah Mill, and only a little happier with Rowan's Creek. I haven't had much luck with Willetts, though this might be the one I end up liking. Thanks for the advice in advance.

Are you sure it's not the Oregon stuff? Black Maple Hill started bottling young craft whiskey from Stein Distillery in Oregon a while back. Personally I wouldn't buy a BMH that doesn't have an age statement. Even if it's the NAS stuff that KBD bottled for him it isn't worth $89.

If its the Oregon Straight Bourbon whiskey run away as fast as you can.  If its the NAS Kentucky Bourbon its still way too high of a price for a (to me) mediocre bourbon.  If it's the actual age stated stuff its worth it

This is why I ask. Yes, it's the Oregon, small short bottle, purple writing. Not like the wine shaped bottles I've seen in most of the reviews.

And that's why we're here Six. There are times when the experience and wisdom of members here will save another member time, money and heartache. Then there are other times it'll put a real fricking hurtin' on your wallet.
