Has anyone tried this and liked it? The class 6 on post has it for $189 no tax and with a $100 instant rebate. Is it worth it? I've seen some say it's no better than a lot of other bottles priced much less than $200, but is it worth the $89 or would I be better off buying Bourye or MWND for the money? Thanks in advance.

smokinjoe likes it and wrote a review of it that almost convinced me to go out and buy it. I was able to try it at Whiskey Live and decided it wasn't worth it to me BUT, I'm not a big fan of bourbon finished in sherry casks which this one is.

I'd say for $89 it's worth a shot. You'll likely never find it that cheap again. Heck, it's cheaper than Booker's in 2017.

It was probably part of a "what bourbon are you drinking today?" post and may be pretty hard to find without scrolling for a while.

It is in a Thoughts on Finished Bourbon thread from 2015. Click on the title above to go to the thread.

I had this in a whiskey advent calendar last year and liked it a lot, thought it was one of the best in the calendar

Thank you! I grabbed a bottle for $89 on post yesterday.

If it was the same thing as the bottle in the gift shop for around $200 then you got a screaming good deal in my opinion. Info from Beam on this was always kind of hard to come by though and it was a NAS unlike the 2 original versions from over a decade ago.

Sadly the nearest Class 6 to me closed a few years ago when the post shut down. Not even sure there is one left in town now but the selection always seemed pretty limited anyway so if it wasn't convenient I wasn't likely to go anyway.

The selection is pretty limited, but the one here on Macdill AFB usually has bookers, stagg, knob Creek and every once again in a while a deal like that distillers masterpiece. At $89 I couldn't pass it up

Had some at a restaurant a few months ago and thought it fantastic. Very reminiscent of the old ND stuff, I thought, with that great butterscotchy finish. I don't remember what batch of it they had at that restaurant though.
