Good Lord Man!!!! Do you have a room/half of the house.. dedicated to this stash? What is there to debate? You will never/ever be able to consume all of that by yourself, ..... hope your will is very specific. At what age did you start this? That is quite a stash Enoch... do you even know what you have?

We have an extra house right now that we use for guest and family when they are in town. (My daughter lived there during college.) And I keep a spread sheet on it. I hate to say but I think I drink a bit more than some around here. Oh and my wife says my wake will be the party of the year.....

You should have a party BEFORE you go, Enoch! I'm sure that's one many of us would make an attempt to attend!

I think my current supply of liquor in general and whiskey in particular is going to outlast even cockroaches, much less me. Does that keep me from buying more? You would think so but apparently not. B)

 

I certainly would hope I have a noteworthy wake if nothing else! I suppose at some point I do need to start working on who gets what if any of it does outlast me...

Well, If I'm judging it right.... about 2 more pours...lol. These days I just keep a bottle or 2 at any given time. When they're gone, I get another... or 2.

As my undertaker father-in-law  said when I wondered if there'd be a fight over my fishing gear, "Do you think you'll care?"

 

Added another week's worth today to the bunker.  I guess I already don't care who gets what's in the bunker, but I do care that I have it now.

Mine will last me a looong while. I have over 200 FRSB (Store picks and GS bottles) along with some older WT and a few bottles of rye. I'm trying to cut back on my consumption, to lose a few pounds, so that'll make it last longer!

 

I chose to stock up on bottles I liked a couple years ago, glad I did. I'm done chasing LE's (been there, done that), just drinking through my bunker at this point.

I think I have enough now for the rest of my life, but as others have said, that doesn't stop me from buying more.

 

And, we'll never get through our wine, either.

at 70ish bottles, many of which are already dusties (but weren't when I bought them......I just liked them), I've got at least 5 years of good drinking at any time if I choose to stop buying. But, I think I enjoy the buying and bunkering as much as the drinking of them.

 

I have a number of Booker's, 9 year KC, old label KCSB's, 16 year-mix varieties of HW double ryes, OE101's, O Fitz 12's, OHH VRO 8 year's, OGD 114's, OS BP bourbons and BP rye's, 9 and 14 year Dickel's, BP Daniel's,  etc.........

 

Considering my daily HH6BIB is still available, and I only drink the above bourbons on occasion, I am good for a looooong time.

According to my spreadsheet, at an estimated rate of consumption of 8oz per week (which I've found to be pretty close to "average" when I factor in weeks I'm on the road, sick, or consume way more than that!), I'm looking at about 8 yrs worth - without buying another bottle.  To be clear, this isn't the "bunker" (which I define as the unopened duplicates), but really the whole thing - including what's aging in a 5 liter barrel in the basement.

assuming I drink no other alcohol: 15-20 years

However, I've taken a liking to beer lately, so I have no need to spend another cent on whisk(e)y for the remainder of my trips around the sun...
