I also just happened to get a gift card for the exact amount of Decades so I'll be picking one up tomorrow

Sounds like fate to me. Looking forward to your tasting notes

That is a beautiful bottle. I need to save up some money and try to buy one.

Congrats! ^^ I'm looking for it myself but has anyone here tasted it and have any notes from their sample?

I posted my notes on the previous page.  I like it a lot

I nabbed a bottle for 119.99...  I personally like it a lot.  I am not a big tasting notes guy, as I find many of them to be ridiculous...  For me, I do not regret the purchase.

Don't be so hard on yourself.  If you try, you can stop being ridiculous.   ;)

Well if you include ordering over the internet as wild then, I received one Friday but haven't opened it yet.

You manage to find it anywhere near MSRP?

I think somebody did buy one at a VA ABC store where they are listed as "limited availability".  Check the "What bourbon did you buy today" for a post this past weekend.  Pretty sure the poster (Hi, VAG) liked it better than the last WT MK which is really good IMO if under-proofed for me.  Hence, I am looking forward to this although I have a few other LE's ahead of it.

EDIT - VA ABC does NOT ship out of state.  It is $149 plus state tax.

I saw it today at a liquor store in a high crime neighborhood (I was looking for some AAA, older label WT101, EC12, or Old Grandad 114) and the owner tried to sell it to me for $175. Maybe if the IRS is kind to me, I'll buy a bottle, but $175 seems steep to me. What prices are you all seeing it at?

I'm new to WT but enjoying what I've tried so far and really interested in getting into some older stuff.

I have seen labels for it in two stores in NJ but with no bottles/boxes both were $129.99, that is the same that WTMK sold for. I bought a bottle of WTMK at Stew Leonards on sale at $109 so I'm hoping to do the same for Decades but may just splurge for the $129.99 if it gets good enough reviews (so far so good).

There's a thread in the Premium Section on this with my tasting notes.  I like it a lot, better than the first MK (and I liked that one).  Its available for online ordering in Virginia, I also got one in Florida

My local LS just got a 12 pack. It went immediately to the shelf at $149.99. I bet it's good but at $150 I'd rather buy 3 handles of ER.

A little off subject here but the last $150 per 750ml I spent was on Dickel 17yr. Was a huge disappointment for me. I'm a big fan of GD12 but the 17 was thin and I found the flavors muted and past their prime. I'm sure the Turkey would have been a better purchase.

well that one seemed to fly right over everyone's head... You've had a few of these recently Joe didn't want you to think they'd gone unnoticed

Got a text today from a local store manager I had asked to see if it was available - she will have it on Wednesday and I'll likely have it by Thursday.

Didn't go over the head of most of us in the GBS. We are just pretty used to it by now! :D
